  1. I get it. There have been additions and subtractions to the amenities over the years. In this case I’m just talking about the one issue private transfers. I asked about private transfers for the 2024 w/c they said no but we will look at it for 2025 I said ok. 2025 comes out, on the list, private transfers, I saw that and said great but guess what when you get into the fine print I don’t qualify for that and as you say I am now paying for something that I can’t take advantage and that I still need so I will be paying for it twice!
  2. On the amenities list for W/C 2025 they say you get private transfers! I get absolutely nothing for the 2024 W/C and it’s not on there amenity list so I get it unless you book CP or JR/CP your out of luck. Good luck with getting anything on the 2025 W/C when they call out that they give you private car transfers as it’s a total joke! If you read the fine notes it’s it says to/from airport and to/from hotel. It’s a confusing joke! I’m looking at going to Fort Lauderdale a few days early from NJ to a hotel of my choice and I get nothing as far as any transfers for that as per my TA! I’m not even sure at this point if I get a private transfer to the airport at least at the end of the W/C? OC gave all room classes multiple private transfers before and after on a W/C at least up to the 2018 W/C. NC dropping the ball big time IMHO!!! A real shame!
  3. I just heard back from my travel agent that’s a big NO on being able to add 2.5% as I mentioned above. The only time is when you are physically on the ship and you book it at that time and pay the 25% deposit at that time. Hopefully there is a change in the works down the road???
  4. @History&Wine I’m currently asking about the 2.5% vs 5% but I’m not holding my breath. I’m hoping they go back to if you cruise before like in this case if you go on the 2024 W/C and you have the 2025 W/C booked you can get the additional 2.5% on board booking discount applied to the 2025 W/C because you did the 2024 cruise before the 2025 cruise but as of now I read somewhere that there are not doing this like OC! Hopefully something NC can look at to change?
  5. There are multiple added amenities added in the 2025 W/C to consider which cost thousands of dollars like: Added airfare. Private transfers. Luggage valet. And not an Apples to Apples itinerary comparison so everyone has to do there own math on whether the increases are worth it.
  6. https://www.crystalcruises.com/cruises/none-cse-w122-250107#cruises_suites I hope the link works they have the pricing for the lowest price for each category listed.
  7. My suggestion would be to post on the W/C roll call. I would post a link but I don’t know how to do that.
  8. Anybody have an idea what the schedule is for the next information release on the world cruise like all the amenities, pricing and all the ports of call? The first booking dates start Wednesday the 16th, 5 days away.
  9. Hi Keith I don’t know if this is a good place to ask and I put this out on the appropriate roll call for the W/C about a week ago didn’t hear back from anyone yet I’m hoping when you talk about things with the powers to be while on the ship could you ask about whether or not the W/C will have a dedicated yoga instructor and/or tai chi instructors as in the past and will they be having anything like in the past as far as world cruise / Olympic Games? Thanks again in advance for taking precious time out of your vacation to help all of us out. I really do appreciate it.
  10. So Keith to be clear they will not be offering a hard copy and you can only get it on the supplied iPad in your room?
  11. For anyone on the ship do they still have the paper port guides available at the excursions desk the evening before you get into port?
  12. Hey Keith, another one from me, does Crystal still have paper port guides for every port, I very much enjoyed them in the past and I hope they’re still continuing that tradition? As always, thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
  13. Hi Keith any idea if there are any USB ports in the rooms for charging? Thanks in advance for your time and consideration in finding that out. Also for me it would be if they are available in a double standard room.
  14. No worries! I guess I was just hoping that there were some more storage that I wasn’t aware of!
  15. Hey Keith congratulations on this being a two-for day as far as celebration for you and Anne Marie!! Enjoy every moment as I know you will! Btw I was just hoping for some clarification on the bold part in your statement above. From the pics I’ve seen what I think you are referring to is the refrigerator with a drawer above it and above that would be a bar area. Can you let me know if we are talking about the same area you referred to in you above statement? Thanks
  16. So is that the standard included Wi-Fi or extra charge Wi-Fi? Below is from the Before you sail Guide: Internet & Wi–Fi Access Complimentary Internet and Wi-Fi access is available onboard throughout the ship. Crystal encourages you to bring your own devices with you for use during your voyage. Once on board, please connect to Crystal’s complimentary Wi–Fi. Certain applications (apps) available on personal phones and other devices are satellite dependent and thus subject to interrupted availability. ***Additional Wi-Fi packages are available for purchase once onboard. · Professional internet - Increased speeds for conducting business while on board. · Exceptional Internet - Increased speeds for enhanced app performance.
  17. @Stickman1990 Thanks so very much for posting all those photos from your contacts on board. I really appreciate the time and effort!
  18. @Keith1010 Thanks Keith for the standard room with veranda photos! Exactly what I was hoping for as far as the various views. Unfortunately my concerns about storage being way less than OC are correct. Some serious creativity will be required for us to store everything on the 2024 W/C. Thanks again it’s a great help for us for planning!
  19. I’m really starting to worry about storage space in the standard rooms from the pics shown so far. OC’s desk had more storage and shelves and the mini fridge was there. NC from the pics does not. Hopefully someone can get pics of an open closet and the space right next to the bathroom door in a standard room. If they put the mini fridge, bar space and maybe the room safe next to the bathroom door I’m guessing there will be no drawers or shelf space next to the bathroom door! Ouch for those of us doing a W/C in a standard room vs OC as far as storage space!
  20. As I’m going through the before you sail guide I’m noticing some more things, one of which creates more questions as there seems to be different levels of Internet connectivity from the free one offered to others which cost a fee. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out and what you can and cannot do with the free service and how much the for fee services cost? I don’t know if anyone plans on doing a live from the inaugural or any other of there cruises so we might be able to ask some more simple questions and get feedback from those who will be on board to verify things?
  21. Thanks Stickman for posting the guide. Those changes are certainly good news to me! I’m just frustrated with the way information is being given out by Crystal management. I was told as of end of last week in written emails in terms from management that there would be no storage of luggage outside of the room and no cigar smoking anywhere other than the connoisseur club. I just checked FAQ section of the Crystal website it’s still not updated to reflect the information as it is stated in the before you sail guide. I just paid for my trip yesterday so didn’t have time to check anything out on the website as far as the before you sail guide. In the end it’s good news but it has been very frustrating information ride so far!
  22. I thought I would share my experience with going back-and-forth with Crystal about the formal evening attire. This happened with multiple emails going back-and-forth with my travel agent and Crystal management. I specifically asked if a Sports Jacket, dress shirt and dress pants would be acceptable for Formal Evening attire? I was told no! On OC this would have been acceptable. The “optional” reference in the description has to do with whether you want to participate or not? If you choose not to participate by dressing accordingly to the formal evening dress code as stated in the frequently asked questions section, you do not get to participate in going anywhere on the ship other than tastes for dinner and can not expect to be able to participate in any other activities on the rest of the ship for that evening. I certainly hope that once the cruises start cruising the onboard experience of people on the ships will let us know on cruise critic, as to how strict they are indeed with this NC Formal Evening dress code. Again this was direct from Crystal management along with my TA being involved. Not a happy camper as I’m planning on being on the ship for multiple months and it makes a huge difference in the way I have to pack. Not trying to stir the pot just trying to very clearly understand the Formal Evening attire requirements. I’m just the messenger here and I certainly hope N/C lightens up on the formal evening attire requirements to the way OC was.
  23. I don’t know what cruise lines you go on? I’ve never been on one that charges for the use of the gym can you name one? I’ve been on ones with free and payed spas btw not “buco” dollars. I want a cruise line that puts it out there online and elsewhere that they don’t “ Nickel and dime” to not nickel and dime over situation like this. That’s just my opinion! Btw I don’t get manicures and they’re many other cruise lines where you can get free pressing and free laundry service so I guess at the end of the day it’s what one thinks Nickel and diming means to you and that certainly qualifies for me to charge $10 for a stretching class. Again JMO!
  24. That is surprising to me from their own advertising of “No nickel and diming” it certainly seems that way to me in this case. I’m boarding the Neptune next week. Never been on Viking before and I would look forward to maybe attending that class if they offered it but find it a shame that they charge $10 for it.
