What are drink vouchers? We never sailed RC
cruisegirl1 replied to barric's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Terrific, make sure you contact Royal Caribbean prior to your cruise to set up a crown and anchor account. That way everything will be in order once you board. You should receive a letter in your cabin, noting all of your discounts/offers. If you don’t get the correspondence, call:visit the loyalty ambassador. Enjoy. m -

Christmas Sailing- Dining Reservations

Wow-those prices are crazy! m -
Food was not completely consumed. Half platter of grilled Salmon would not do well in the trash can till the next day. Honestly, I'm not going to wash and dry my room service food dishes and then take them to the Windjammer. Luckily I generally don't eat in the cabin. So, issue resolved for the future. M Edit - end of conversation from me. OP - Sorry I hijacked this thread. M

I generally agree but once a day cleaning presents a new issue. Cabin was serviced at 9 AM (I am an early riser and prefer early cleaning.) Had early lunch in the cabin. What do I do with my dirty dishes and uneaten food until 9 AM the NEXT morning? 20 hours later. Can’t leave them on the balcony as the hot sun against that uneaten food would not be pleasant. In the “old” days plates would be picked up at the second service. Now they are not picked up until the next morning. I don’t eat in the cabin often, but did on a recent cruise. m

Lots of cute swag. I'm sure some of it will be on ebay next week. There is already a shirt there. Getting ready to move - what a chore! m

Mason Jar Brunch Price Increase
cruisegirl1 replied to OCSC Mike's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That is a significant increase! M -
Seems there are new cruisers on every ship these days and that is how RCCL likes it! There were around 630 total C&A reported at the top tier party. If I do my math correctly, with approx 2200 passengers, over 70% were new cruisers. Seems high, but like I said, what RCCL wants. We took Wonder in the Spring and had over 100 P on the sailing. M

Ship holds somewhere around 6000. So, the other 3000 are new cruisers! m

Royal Caribbean, A Lie is a Lie
cruisegirl1 replied to SailorMarg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I understand that the half-and-half is tied to the way one dresses for dinner. If you wear shorts for dinner to the MDR you get milk for your coffee. If you wear slacks for dinner, you get half-and-half. If you want cream, you need to wear formal dress. m -
Not sure how a post about the president’s cruise became a “let’s dump on Pinnacles” thread. Anybody can go on a President Cruise. You don’t even have to be a member of crown and anchor. m

Haven’t seen much on cruise critic regarding the Presidents Cruise. I am catching up on a few pages of another social media site. Lots of swag, that I imagine will be available on eBay early next week. Lots of activities and lots of photos. Those who are attending look to be having a lot of fun and are enjoying the attention received from Royal Caribbean top management. m

Royal Caribbean, A Lie is a Lie
cruisegirl1 replied to SailorMarg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I saw that posted on another site. And I saw a photo of what appears to be a passenger wearing one. At first I thought it was a joke, and the jewelry was fake. But did someone pay $39,000 to advertise Royal Caribbean? sorry to go off topic. m -

Downgrading of room - please help
cruisegirl1 replied to Cruisecruisee's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You will likely not get compensation but should ask for a balcony cabin. If your original booking was a balcony, the new one should be a balcony as well. Sort of similar. Our ship was redeployed, and we were offered a few options or cancel. We selected one. The cabin was to remain the same category. (balcony) We were moved from a standard balcony to an Obstructed balcony Cabin. We were told that is all that was available when the ship change was made. The new ship had been open for booking for months. The new cabin was more money than the original booking price, but we were price protected. I came down to take the obstructed cabin or cancel. We kept the cruise. No compensation. Good luck M -
