Do you think the vast majority of people follow this case? Do you not think that there aren’t more frivolous lawsuits out there that have no publicity? Most people have no interest in these matters.
Every cutback affects people differently. No chocolate or midnight buffet? No welcome onboard drink? No towel animals, no chocolate on pillows? They will cut and cut, and raise prices, to get back in the black. Once something is cut, it doesn’t come back, and other lines do the same.
We are from NJ, so we all grew up swimming in the Atlantic. We went to cable at the Melia and my kids were bored to death. My sister and her kids drove to the gulf in Florida from Chicago during Covid, the first day was great, tropical storm, the rest of the week not so much.
I think cabbage beach is the nicest (has more waves), then cable, and much lower Junkanoo. Unfortunately only Junkanoo has restrooms, I believe all have chair/umbrella rentals. We’ve done cabbage and cable with day passes at resorts.
My kids had great times on NCL, even the older ships. We love being able to decide when to eat dinner and not have a set time every night. When you have the usb, you can bring onboard as many bottles of wine as you wish. On our last cruise my oldest were 19 and 20, they liked being able to order beer and wine.
I don’t know where the OP is coming from, maybe not from central LI (my daughter’s boyfriend is from smithtown). For my family it’s a wash, we are 10 miles west of Manhattan, but 7 of us, so a car service has always been around the same amount of $ as parking, we’ve done it both ways and prefer to drive and park.
Right, which is why I wonder if they signed something making them legally blinded to continue this case. If this was my child, money would be meaningless to me, actually most things would be meaningless. I would want it to just go away. I’d never be in my right mind again. It’s hard enough to lose a child, but I can’t imagine a worse way.
That’s why I’m wondering if there was a clause allowing the lawyers to keep going, they have a very vested interest since I’m sure their costs were high. It seems crazy.
Folks have reported staying in NJ and parking at the ferry terminal for about $20 a day for the length of their cruise, 8 minute ferry to Manhattan. You could stay at the Sheraton, ferry back and forth, and then ferry over for your cruise. https://www.nywaterway.com/lincolnharborweehawkenroute.aspx
I think it was on the jewel in the bigger MDR that my 12 year old short wearing son was asked his age, he was a tall 12, but he was allowed in due to his age at the time.
Nope, NJ required a lot of documentation. My license was expired a year during covid, dmv was an absolute mess. Finally snagged an appointment and still waited 4 hours.
