  1. Keep in mind it will cost $50+ to park in Manhattan in addition to the hotel cost.
  2. My sister is 51, vax’d, very healthy and was given a prescription. She felt pretty crappy though.
  3. We were on vacation with my sister’s family last week, my son, sister and nephew got it, my sister never had it before. She’s boosted, and was very surprised at how miserable she felt (“I thought it’s suppose to be just a bad cold!). She got paxlovid and couldn’t decide which was worse, Covid or paxlovid.
  4. My oldest were 19 and 20 on our last cruise, we signed the waiver but they were only allowed to get the soda package as their perk.
  5. I have 5 kids (and had them in under 7 years so close in age), I’d be thrilled to have 2 cabins, especially with an infant! We always do connecting, and it’s fine having little ones in the other cabin with the door open. And instead of being stuck on the balcony when the littles sleep, you can stay in a cabin, watch TV, shower, takes turns coming and going…
  6. Did you bring the wine to any restaurant? They store the wine in a central spot for all restaurants, I’m guessing you were charged corkage if you didn’t pay it at the terminal.
  7. We get the UDP and have always paid corkage.
  8. Yes, short walk, no day passes like hotels, but you can purchase chair and umbrellas, some food and booze. It’s a simple harbor beach.
  9. NCL allows unlimited bottles of wine, you just need to pay the $15 corkage fee, I have no idea why it was confiscated.
  10. I honestly don’t understand the confusion of some, it clearly states the refund will go back to the original payment method, for every last penny spent, plus a FCC in the amount of the cruise.
  11. I don’t think that’s true anymore https://kiiky.com/difference-between-pharmd-and-phd-in-pharmacy/. Maybe some are grandfathered.
  12. It looks like a typical kids menu (my kids very rarely ordered from it).
  13. One does need a doctorate to be a pharmacist.
  14. Missing Mass is a sin (unless there isn’t a way to go), it can’t be replaced by another service.
  15. NCL doesn’t have early or late seating, you can make a reservation or just show up. On all of our NCL cruises we’ve never made a reservation and never waited for a table for our family of 7 in a MDR.
  16. Not an issue, no lobster on MCL in forever.
  17. I happily got my kids off bottles and formula by age 1 (and I’ve never sterilized, just washed with soap and water if not the dishwasher). I can’t imagine sterilizing anything for a toddler, their hands and mouth are on everything. You might be able to use a small blow up pool for the shower. Definitely bring a stroller.
  18. I’m equating a possible broken arm to a fever, not an emergency. I’ve raised five children into adulthood, every trip to the ER was necessary. Some injuries/illnesses aren’t emergencies and can wait until the next day. Pediatrics offices and urgent cares and much better options in many places, but not open at night.
  19. In most ports food taken off of ships is supposed to be factory sealed.
  20. If my child had a fever in the middle of the day I wouldn’t take that child to the ER, maybe the pediatrician if presented with other symptoms or urgent care. As a parent I assess the risk, a fever or broken bone are not emergencies in most cases. Unfortunately there are people who go to the ER for every little thing.
  21. I’m sorry, I’m not taking a child with a sore arm to the ER in the middle of the night, fevers can indicate something serious too but I’m not taking a child to the ER in the middle of the night for a fever unless it’s super high.
  22. Mom of 5 here, kids get hurt a lot, I don’t know a parent who’s bringing a child to the ER in the middle of the night for a possible broken bone. My son broke his ankle and it was super obvious he needed medical attention (ambulance brought him to a pediatric trauma center but he had to wait until morning because he ate dinner and needed surgery), my daughter broke her wrist, again obviously broken, went to the ER and they X-ray’s, wrapped it and told us to get her in with an orthopedist the next day. Not that many simple breaks get cast overnight. Sprains/brakes tend to be wait and see injuries with kids (mine were dancers/athletes and had a lot of sprains).
  23. 18 year olds are legal adults, I am not responsible for a 19 year old in my care because they are not in my care. My 5 kids are now all legal adults, going on vacation with them on Saturday. Some are bringing friends/SO’s, but again, all adults.
  24. As a parent of many kids between the ages of 19 - 25, the list seems heavy. Why can’t the “kids” link their expenses to a credit card of their own? Why do adults have curfews? Can the 19 year old go ashore on their own? On our last cruise our oldest were 19 and 20, we had no written agreement, but they did have dinner with us every night and went on the one excursion we had planned (all inclusive day pass = free drinks).
