What was the cost with Lyft from the port to FLL.

That's what we do.

We have been to Brownes beach many times. It is our choice on Carlisle Bay. It is a local beach. There are chair rentals. We have walked there from the ship a few times. But now prefer a taxi (bad knees). Take the taxi from the port with others going to the more populated beach bars like the Boatyard. Tell the driver you want to go to Brownes and he will take you there once the others get off. You can get a taxi back. There is a restroom with attendants. The attendants will call for a cab when you want to go back to the ship.

Did you happen to venture down the beach to Loxseen Beach Bar. The owner Debbie has always been good to us. Cheaper chair rentals and beers!

Not sure what you mean by deteriorated. How was entry into the ocean? Was it easy. And easy to get out. Was it easy to get a taxi back to the ship? Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the info. Have walked to the bus station many times. It's like a 20-minutes walk. Do you know what bus # it would be to Dickenson?

Page is not helpful. I did pull it up before and could not follow it. Do you know where the bus station is in town to get to Dickenson Bay. We have taken the bus near the fist market to get to Darkwood beach.

We have taken the local bus #22 from the market many times to Darkwood Beach. Now we are looking to go to Dickenson Bay or any other beaches in that area by local bus. Any info would be appreciated.

Would also like to hear about Dickenson Bay. Will be going there March 2023. How was the beach, chair rental, taxi cost.

Thanks for the info. I just reserved parking at the Renaissance. Very reasonable from where we used to park before covid at the Parking Spot.

Has anyone used the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel for parking? How was it? Or any other suggestions

Has anyone been to Dickenson Beach lately. Thinking about going there next month on a cruise. Is the beach nice, how is getting into and out of the water, how much is chair rental, are taxis readily available from the port (cost) and readily available when you want to come back. Usually we take the local bus to Darkwood beach. But the water there has been rough a few times before. What about Valley Church beach? Open to any other beach suggestions. Thanks for any info.

We have used SPOT parking many times in the past. Now they are really expensive.

We are flying out of Newark for a cruise. Has anyone parked their car off-site at a reasonable rate at Newark? Safe off-site parking with airport transfer.

Does the soda have to be in cans or can you bring the 16 oz. bottles? I know Carnival only allows cans (soda, water).

Has anyone been there lately. Before covid, the water was rough when we where there. Usually it is very calm.

We go to Cockleshell Beach and from Reagge Beach Bar we walk down to Loxseen Beach Bar where Debbie is the owner. She is very personable. Have been here some 5 times. Is her beach bar still operational. The last time we were there, she said they were trying to get her to leave the area.

Have been to Darkwood Beach some 7 times. However, the last few times, the water has been very rough and hard to get in and get out of. If not Darwood, what other beach would you suggest.

It is so frustrating. I also had long, long wait times when I pressed #2. So I tried #1 and said they could not help me, so they transferred me. Yes, they did to #2. Another long wait. I called two days ago and waited over one hour when I pressed #2. Then another 45 minutes with a representative. Trying to do dinner reservations for Select Dining. She did a few for me but did not save them. Then she did them again and I could not get the times I wanted. X has a serious problem.

I was on the phone with X insurance for over one hour and no one could give me a definitive answer about their canceling the insurance after paid being that I put $0 in the cost. So I went down to my local AAA office and got Allianze for a few more dollars with a lot more coverage (especially for medical evac).
