  1. Already reserved five bottles of the white wine and cheese package when it was on sale for $29. And two G&T sets for hubby. Add the two Greek wine bottles we can bring on the ship, we’ll be all set. The sporadic drinks during trivia or other events will be covered by OBC. Sure it’s possible to adapt among the limitations, but it would be easier if they’d offer variety like every other cruise line, including sister Celebrity.
  2. I’m flying to Rome the last week of Sept for a 10/1 Regal sailing and get there around 10am the day before the cruise, with one stop in IST. I’m looking to change the flight and get there two days earlier, but the only reward flight I can find has two stops, one in YUL and one in ZRH. Not sure if it’s better to plan one day early with one connection or two days early with two connections 🤷🏻‍♀️
  3. I ordered a bracelet…lanyard reminds me of work. Then I found out about the watch adapter which would probably work better for me. I may still get one and try both.
  4. I always wondered about that….so it’s not a similar menu to the MDR for dinner?
  5. Same here, but with OBC being harder to spend with Plus fares I will occasionally book a ship’s tour. Usually when I see something I like in the excursion list but can’t find a private tour or DIY method to replicate it. Very rare though.
  6. I’ve asked about that and no, they don’t have that anymore…in fact there’s no other package whatsoever involving alcohol except the one-size-fits-all DBP. Too bad for you if you only drink wine or beer or less than premium spirits. 😕
  7. It’s ok I probably heard them all in law school. And no I don’t equate arguing with being upset, I equate it with work….which I guess could be upsetting at this stage in my life lol.
  8. Guess I don't consider it arguing to acknowledge that we have different definitions of 100%. Or that I find it strange to use it when defining non-specific terms. In any event, sorry if it came across as arguing..... to me arguing is for people who need others to agree with them. I have no such needs, at least not since retiring from the practice of convincing judges to agree with me ;)
  9. Not to mention, you don’t have to be anywhere near poor to appreciate a good bargain.
  10. My point, admittedly too pithy to be fully clear, is that you can’t claim 100% accuracy when evaluating an imprecise value (i.e. lots, many, sh*t ton, etc.). That’s all.
  11. Well then that is really puzzling..... I have no idea why there would be a problem cruising to Norway or Denmark.
  12. Ah ok….in my world, concentrate would never be considered fresh. But I recognize that’s not the industry’s view.
  13. Oh I get that it’s better than the nasty WJ stuff, I just didn’t understand why the word “fresh” wasn’t sufficient.
  14. I think if you’re like me and like to watch movies or series on the treadmill when it’s too rough outside to walk or run the jogging path, downloading ahead of time will be the answer for now. If you have Amazon Prime you can down a limited amount of media without paying extra, two seasons of a series and I don’t know how many movies.
  15. Do you really find the buffet quieter than the MDR? I usually find the opposite is true, but maybe that’s only at lunch.
  16. Makes sense, always lots of newbies on Alaska cruises. Maybe because some people are like me and only need to do it once. Also, I have come across many people when I lived in northern rural areas who aren’t really into cruising as a whole but will take an Alaska cruise as a one time thing.
  17. I’m so uneducated in all things orange…. I had no idea that this is a thing
  18. No, I’m 54 and haven’t been to a job fair in decades. However, I have read accounts of the travel industry including cruise lines being overwhelmed and unable to meet demands. And I was pretty equivocal in my comment, it was a suggestion.
  19. Glad to see you made it….we’re sailing Regal in October, Rome to Athens, so I’ll be following your journey with much interest. If you’re getting 168k while still in port that’s not very encouraging, although if the pictures loaded it can’t be too bad.
  20. Yeah we’re a tough crowd here sometimes. I don’t think anyone would disagree that people should be notified of cabin changes. That’s a given. However, reimbursement for the price difference between a guarantee and specific cabin, like in your case a hypothetical $200, might not be so easy to calculate. Prices fluctuate a lot over the duration of a booking, and guarantee categories often sell out early.
  21. I’m surprised more cruise lines don’t take advantage of this “best of both worlds” option and put a wall in like this. The ships all dry dock every few years, it wouldn’t take long to accommodate.
  22. I don’t know, the world seems to be getting short on workers all around, even on cruise ships as this summer surge in travel is making it hard for the cruise lines to accommodate. Don’t know if that’s also true in the casino.
