interesting post we were on the Muse Christmas/nyears it was a disaster we will be on the spirit also and evaluate SS for future trips we did last Christmas on the regent ship grandeur and it was an out of mind event the service and food we like days gone bye bye

Hard to believe of all cruise ships sailing SS would be the only ones with out Soup, Salad or a Pasta dish in their main dining room dinner menu I think the Silver in Silver Sea is starting to tarnish On the Spirit in May have concerns!

SS simply hotel when we booked was Monaco Grand Canal checked my account the other day new hotel San Clemente Hotel is on a private so now we take a shuttle from an island to visit a island ( VENICE) NEVER NOTIFIED we are now in penalty phase if we CX hotel The silver part on Silver Sea cruises name is TARNISHED

If the on board officers and or corporate management wanted the problem resolved it would be done they know what needs to be done and not doing it and looks like nothing will be until a incident causes change

Years past there always a GRAND BUFFET on NEW YEARS DAY and it was spectacular That would be on a Monday

Similar to what Lucille and I endured on the Muse from Sydney at Christmas things are not the same and do not the will come back to the standard we were used to

We were on the MOON in Sept and the MUSE in Dec and our cruises were almost a carbon copy of your review

Also a few years back on Sea days SS had classes on learning to speak Italian

While on board the Muse for Christmas the Muse menus did not reflect any trace of Italian heritage in fact Christmas eve which is a BIG seafood dinner in Italy was not offered in any dining venue not one italian style offering but system wide fixed menus in fact all aspects of the cruise were not up to SS reputation

Boarding and check in is complete shambles Southampton check starts at noon did not board till after 3 pm that was last May on the Moon December in Sydney the same only 3 SS reps at counter and three intercruise reps to check passports and other paperwork My suggestion eat a hardy breakfast

For afew years now I have been telling Regent to avoid a lot of problems like you had and many others had on other ships go to a reservation system but for some reason they are against it On Silver Sea there restaurant La Terrazza is basically similar to Sete Mare has reservations and eliminates lines and confusion

We boarded the Moon in LHR check in was a nightmare took us forever there about 150 passengers sitting with us hardly NO snacks or coffee suplied When we boarded no SS rep to help with hand luggage or a welcome glass of champange we to our room vand the hallway looked like an airport luggage claim The HD said how are things going I said you get one chance for a first impression and it is gone

In the healthy sailing section on SS web site in the Northern Europe and EU sections it says all voayages departing after 05 Sept and fully vaxed passengers PCR test no longer required Surprised not seeing this posted on CC

Whatever it is it has gone way up and will proably keep going up until it is notb worth doing
