Our cruise does offer a "Bruges on you own" tour but not having been to Bruges we are wondering if it would be better to do a tour with some information given by a tour guide about the city. We also want to do the 30 min canal tour offered with the cruise tour.

Thank you! Just to be clear... we can board tram #26 right outside the main passenger cruise terminal and the tram will take us to the front of Central Station? Is that the main area near where we can buy tickets for a canal tour?

We were suppose to do this cruise back in 2020 when he would have 8. We read the book "Who Is Anne Frank" so he would know who she is in case we went to Anne Frank's House then. Thank you for the book recommendation. I will have to look into getting that book. We have a few more months to decide if we will book the tickets to Anne Frank's House. Thank you for you opinion. Its nice to know that you think it would be over the heads of most 11 year olds.

Yes, I am very happy that the ship is docking in the main cruise terminal in Amsterdam as it makes getting to the city much easier. Oh boy, I would hope our credit card wouldn't be an issue also as we have the same credit card...Chase. That was very nice of the driver to waive you on without paying. Where is the tram located? Central Station? We are also stopping in Zeebruge and are trying to figure out the best way to get to Bruges. If you went to Bruges did you take a transfer on your own or do it through your cruise line? What did you do there?

Hello! We will be onboard the NCL Prima in July and the NCL tour we had wanted to book only has room for one more person (we are a family of 3). We want to to to Bruges for the day and explore the city and do a canal cruise. Can you book a canal cruise while in Bruges or does that need to be done before arrival? Any suggestions for how to get to Bruges from the Zeebrugge port? Thanks

I am pretty sure that NCL is going to port at the main Amsterdam cruise terminal so we should be able to walk. The tram sounds pretty neat, I bet our son would get a kick out of that. Does we need to repurchase tram tickets? Do you know if they take credit cards?

I am making note of the location so that we can just walk over there at our own leisure and book a tour. Hopefully they will take credit cards. Thank you so much! I think this what we will do since we have no idea what time we will be ready to do a canal tour. Do you know what form of payment the canal cruises will take when you pay the day off. Hopefully they will take a credit card as I was not planning on carrying local currency. Do you have any other suggestions for things to do and see in Amsterdam? Was thinking Anne Frank but not sure if its worth the crowds.

We are trying to figure out how to get to the city from the port that our NCL ship docks at. Any suggestions?
