Sort of makes one wonder what happened to R745 too, should be a large balcony mirror of R746. Shouldn't it?
R746 was not originally a cabin. It was a storage area that was converted to a passenger cabin at some point. I also believe that you cannot access the balcony of cabin R742.

If I remember correctly there is also a smoking area with seats on deck 16 aft outside of the Adagio Lounge. There may be a smoking section in the evening in Skywalker's Nightclub.
In November 1922, nothing outside of Adagio or in Skywalkers.

Is it worth doing a cruise of Panama Canal specifically, if your cruise is going through new locks?
If you think that this will be the only trip you make through the canal, I would try to do the old locks. But, if only the new ones are available for your time frame, go for it. The trip through the canal is amazing. Please read this book before going. It will give you a better understanding of the trials and tribulations that were gone through, over 100 years ago, to build this engineering marvel.

At age 70, you are no longer required to do jury duty in MA.
Same in Michigan. Got a summons last week.

Want to know if they have the pub lunch and if so is it still free
We have found parts of it in the dining room on some ships. On the buffet on some. No where on the rest. Just depends on the ship.

When you are on the cruise, you can purchase a Future Cruise Deposit for $100. This can be used as a deposit on your next cruise, thereby reducing your deposit to $100. Plus, you will get On Board Credit, starting at $50. Not a lot, but that's a 50% return on your money.
OPPS! Thought I was on the Princess Board.

When you book your cruise, they ask if you've booked with them before. What type of perk might one get?

Rules say fountain only no limit on soft drinks. Some say they have gotten cans but that has not been my experience
My experience has been that if you ask for say, a Sprite Zero, which they do not have on the gun, most times they will give you a can.

But the pax go before the crew.

Last trans-Atlantic we took; they were clearing crew before we even disembarked. It may be a different process, but it is using personnel that could be used to clear passengers, thereby slowing the whole process. Then if the CDC shows up for an inspection, that adds one more thing going on.

Has anyone used a reputable firm that offer good 1-day tours?
Sunseeker Tours – Sightseeing in Hollywood, Los Angeles Tours
Used them a couple of years ago. Were very pleased with their tour.

Yep, exactly what we decided. Play it safe and allow time for flight delays. We can relax in the HOU airport for a few hours.
Thanks.
Good choice. The whole crew will probably have to go through immigration, since the ship is arriving back in the US. Facial recognition speeds things up, but 4700 passengers and crew will still take some time. Plus, the Coast Guard usually does some type of inspection on reentry.

If you have a traditional type dining experience, same time and same waiter, just have a standing order waiting for you.

-- this is a casino ( free room ) reservation
Be careful when changing a casino reservation. We have had one cancelled by changing EZAir on our own. It took our travel agent to get everything back in place. Good thing you checked with your planner. I would contact them again to double check that everything is OK once the change is made.

No medallions for us either. Just our decision—I don’t need flaming.
No problem. You probably don't spend endless hours worrying that you didn't make the green lane.

Here’s my take on the number 15.
breakfast 2 cups of coffee with Baileys and a Bloody Mary = 3
Mid morning around pool 3 frozen drinks over two hours = 3
Lunch 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine = 2
Mid afternoon in the sun around pool 3 drinks over 3 hours = 3
Before dinner 1 cocktail = 1
Dinner 2 glasses of wine = 2
After dinner maybe 2 in the casino or the show = 2
Nightcap maybe 1 = 1
Total = 17
Totally agree it is not that difficult. Might even add a cappuccino with Baileys after dinner. But, probably wouldn't do that much every day.

Flying fish and the green flash at sunset!!
in Ask a Cruise Question
Posted · Edited by KreinKrunker
Saw the green flash once. Had an Albatross follow us in the Pacific for four days.
Too many flying fish to count. Now let's talk about bioluminescence. Have only seen this once.
