HP sauce was always on the table growing up in Scotland, but I never tasted it. It was Dad’s sauce. I’ve still never tasted it.😂

I thought they weren’t doing it after final payment date any more.

I'm only going by my own experience, for instance I have a RCI cruise booked for November 2024. The deposit was $400 for 2 pax. Refundable. I've never had to pay a higher deposit, because the extra gets added to the balance at final payment. So if we cancel we are ok and we just wear the extra $200 at final payment.

The rule of thumb for RCI is Book Early and watch for price drops. You can also pay a bit extra for a refundable deposit (not available for suites).

At the moment $A113 per day for Deluxe and $A53 for Refreshment, but they are on "sale" and can change day to day. -

Most cocktails are priced at $US15, no extra grats and are covered in the drink package. -
Just booked a Junior Suite on the Quantum Singapore repo, only 549 days to go! Good job we have Brilliance next year.

Izumi restaurant- solo dining by minor

That’s a bit sad that no one wants to dine with her. Maybe (and hopefully) she will make friends with other teens who would like the same experience. -
Now for something completely different

I remember my Mum (who didn’t drink except at Christmas) used to make apricot brandy from our tree in the back garden. -
A few years ago we booked the Shang for a couple of nights after a cruise. The day we disembarked it was wet and we waited in the rain in a long queue for a taxi, only to have 3 different drivers refuse to take us up the hill. They said ‘too short - walk’ so we struggled up the hill and steps with our luggage and arrived very wet and bedraggled at the rather posh reception. We loved the Horizon Club but I think Four Seasons Lounge 32 is better.

Hotel in Sydney
fairywren replied to Cruisin'allovertheworld's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Have stayed there when it was Holday Inn, ok but overpriced due to proximity to the OTC. Wouldn’t stay there again. If you want pure indulgence go for a club room with full harbour view at Four Seasons 🥰 Saving up for next stay😉 Cheap and cheerful - Rendezvous with harbour view.😀 -
That's why you need to work out if getting the price drop is worth losing the OBC I suppose.
-
Unfortunately we don’t have any for our next cruise 😢 but I do have lots of USD from cashing out in the casino 😉
-
Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the Quantum re-positioning. No one seems to know what's happening there, and that's the only one I'm interested in for 2024-2025.
-
Do you know that for sure? When do you think it will be released?

As a ‘loyal’ rci cruiser I am very disappointed that we only have a choice of Quantum or Ovation, same same. We are on Brilliance next April and after that might have to rethink. The only one that interests us is the Singapore-Brisbane but have to factor in flights both ways from Perth. Might have to defect to Princess. Coral looks like a nice ship and is doing a few cruises from Fremantle. Apparently we are platinum from a Princess cruse many moons ago and a few p&o as well. Would miss the 5 free drinks a day though 😉

No wait to be served…

Following along - we have cruised from Singapore before on various ships and would like to experience Spectrum.

Perth airport to Fremantle hotel?

https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/Journey-Planner The trains and stations in Perth are wheelchair friendly. Hope it helps! -
I’m in the “drink lots of water” camp. My ankles would always swell up on cruises but last time I pre-ordered a 24 pack of water for the cabin and made sure to drink them all and also the water in the restaurants. No swelling for the first time ever!
