  1. Yes…it is on the everyday / classic menu. So, you can order a steak every day. ( at least it was when we were on in December)
  2. I am also on the Japan cruise that goes to South Korea. Does anyone know if we take a ships tour are we still required to get the Electronic Travel Authorization? I know in the past when we have been in Russia if you were on a tour, a visa was not necessary. On another note we did receive an email from Azamara about Japan requirements. Crazy….don’t need a Covid test to enter Japan but we need one to board the ship.
  3. I did find that you have to watch for the pricing. It was not too much more for Aqua class on the cruise we have booked for December. But the price included unlimited Wifi, Gratuities and Beverage package. The pricing on the Veranda did not. So, when we added everything up - it was almost the same in price. So - if we wanted to throw in specialty dining or go to the spa it would have cost more than booking Aqua class.
  4. We were on Edge in August and Apex in December. Both times in Aqua class. We were able to order of main dining menus if we were not happy with the Blu selection. I had a showere cap in my cabin on the Edge but not Apex. I asked and several were brought to the cabin. We did have tote bags on both cruises. The only thing I noticed different on the December cruise was on Lobster night and they also served filet mignon….you could not make it surf and turf and have it served on the same plate. They had to bring it out on separate plates but then you could move it to the same plate. Kind of odd.
  5. We were just on Apex in Aqua class. Still had afternoon hors d’oeuvres, did enjoy several choices of gym equipment in the cabin. We also used the different types of saunas….which are great on the new ships but they do not have them on M class. We enjoy Aqua for the smaller dining venue it offers and feel the service is much better than the MDR options. If you can get a good price, it is worth it.

    Tokyo, Japan

We are on Azamara 3 April as a circle Japan trip. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻that all stays good and the cruise will sail as plannned.
  7. We were on the same cruise as the OP. We were in Aqua Class and ate at Blu every evening. If we could not find something we liked on the Blu menu they would let us pick off the other dining menus. We found the food to be very good…..but, we were in a much smaller dining venue. The smaller venue might have made the difference because our food was never cold and the service was excellent.
  8. We were on the Edge this summer in Aqua class and just recently on the Apex in Aqua class. We loved the smaller dining venue but were not always happy with the dinner offerings. Ask for the other restaurant menus and you will be able to select from the other main dining restaurant options. The service in Blu was excellent.
  9. I always book onboard and transfer to an agent. Due to Covid cancellations I had several FCC’s. My agent tried to have one applied to my April cruise and was told it was already used. She was on hold for over 2 1/2 hours before she got the “it’s already been used” response. She was also told that we were traveling using a special discount so the coupon had technically been applied and was part of our discount. Our agent asked why there was no line item showing the coupon was applied. The answer was ….because that’s the way we do it. So…..I called Azamara. I was on hold for over 2 1/2 hours but was fortunate enough to get an agent that was on a special team. My booking was a lift and shift ….no special rate, no special discount. She got accounting involved and no one could find where the FCC was applied but it showed as used. They reissued it but then had to contact my agent because my agent holds the booking. I was on the phone for 3 1/2 hours. If I did not reach an agent that had experience, it would not have been resolved and I would have lost my FCC. It should not have been a combined 6 hours on the phone between myself and my agent. Agents are dreading Azamara bookings because their hold time is the longest and the information is nit accurate. I am really at a crossroads. Azamara is charging a premium and wants to be a premium product but the customer service is horrible.
  10. I have never understood why cruises are much less expensive on Celebrity versus Azamara yet the loyalty benefits on celebrity are much better. We were on a recent celebrity cruise and we each got unlimited Wi-Fi and we each had two bags of laundry. The laundry bags on Azamara have gotten much smaller over the years and it is one per cabin and not per person. We each pay for the cruise….we both have Discoverer plus status….so why one bag or why one person gets unlimited wifi when there is a promo? Now that they allow combinability of benefits if you are in a suite or Discoverer Plus, no one onboard seems to believe that is true. On our last two cruises we printed out the combinability information and had to show it to guest relations. I just think the program could be better… especially for the price point of Azamara cruises. And yes…..they need a step after Discoverer Plus…..we take 3 cruises a year on Azamara and will never reach the next level. So……there really is no incentive for us to stay loyal to Azamara.
