  1. We're just off the Summit. We're not fans of Tuscan Grill or Le Petite Chef but we love Sushi on Five. We were told by one of the restaurant managers that they closed Le Petite Chef because they only had 7 people booked for that night.
  2. Before I'd click on a YouTube link, I'd want to see if it was monetized. And I probably still wouldn't click it. I get enough fear-mongering in our political ads.
  3. We saw a man wearing pajamas and bathrobe turned away from the MDR on a Caribbean cruise a couple of years ago. He and his family seemed very confused that they weren't allowed in. This was on the Celebrity Constellation.
  4. Yes, we are people watcher too. That's why we love "Chic" night. I love seeing people's interpretation of ""Chic." We've seen everything from a 40 year old prom dress to the live green tuxedo (which looked fabulous.) What we don't like, is Celebrity's accommodating bad behavior. We've seen it for years and it's getting worse. We've seen shows held because of late-comers, young children allowed in hot tubs and the t-pool, chair hogs, game players in the buffet during meal times, etc. Celebrity seems to allow a lot as long as no one complains. They don't seem to realize that sometimes people don't complain even though they are very annoyed. None of us want to be "that" person.
  5. My husband and I usually discus what others are wearing, especially on "Chic" night. My favorite is still the lime green tuxedo.
  6. Actually, it deck 5, aft. Which is just shown on the deck plan as "Dining room"
  7. Which dining venue is the Chef's Table held in?
  8. I searched this forum and didn't find an answer. I'm sorry if it's been asked before. We've booked the Chef's Table on our Dec 5 sailing on Navigator. It was available for any night on our cruise and I picked the night I didn't care for anything on the menu on the app. I know that menus change and the app isn't 100% reliable but it was all I had to rely on. Is the Chef's Table really available every night? How late can I change the night we're booked? What experience have others had with the Chef's Table?
  9. The link works. Let's hope we get the points.
  10. That's up to you, but remember you can transfer a deposit to another cruise. They say it cost $100 to do so but we've never been charged (our Captain's Club status might have something to do with that)
  11. They will price match until final payment but you'll have to keep an eye on your perks. Sometimes you lose them so you'll have to decide how important/expensive they are.
  12. Book the cabin you want now and keep watching for price drops.
  13. Not that many complain about it, the ones that do are just very vocal.
  14. It was the Terrace Cafe. You'll like Oceania. It's what Celebrity used to be.
  15. I like wasabi but the ginger taste like soap to me. My husband loves it all. Here's his plate on Oceania:
  16. You're probably right. This is the menu I was referring to: https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/restaurants-and-bars/restaurant-menu/sushi-on-five-menu.pdf
  17. Most wasabi is just horseradish. I have a wasabi powder that I use to make our own when we have sushi. It's better that what the restaurant gives us. We had freshly prepared horseradish once at a restaurant and it was very good. I'm sure freshly prepared wasabi is good too.
  18. Did you see the one on the website?
  19. Thank you. My husband loves sushi but $12 wasabi makes me cringe. I'm thinking of taking my own.
  20. It looks like there are two different menus for Sushi on Five (at least on Summit.) The website has a prix fixe and the app has an al a carte menu. Does anyone know which is correct? Also, is the $12 wasabi worth it? Thanks!
  21. I hate post that use abbreviations. Just because someone is too lazy to type out an expression, I should have to google it? Usually, I just go to the next thread.
