Maybe on the meal if someone makes it for me. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Cagliari. 2 good days in history. When going around in Germany you'll see chunks of the old Berlin wall on display in different cities; and around the world. It's cloudy and chilly here today. Same sleeping issues, but maybe I got 4 hours by taking a Benadryl before bed. Maybe the increased Gabapentin is helping a little, as I was able to change the bed linens without as bad pain as I was anticipating. I will be speaking to the social worker later; I found out it was the Rheumatology office that requested it. @StLouisCruisers Great photos from Cagliari. @Denise T I'm sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather due to issues with your diabetes. Feel better soon! @rafinmd The gardens look very nice. Safe travels to FLL today. @Nickelpenny You sound like me, starting with a referral to a pain clinic. Is one of the procedures the epidural steroids? I understand about wanting to remain active, something I can't do right now. I find NSAIDS don't help with nerve pain. Wishing you the best outcome! @ger_77 I'm glad to hear about DH's great report from the Device clinic. @RMLincoln I'm sorry to hear that DH needs eye surgery and prayers that it will be successful. I spent a few months at Wilmer Eye Institute way back in the 70's - great place! @Vict0riann I can empathize with your trouble walking. I hope you're enjoying the cruise despite that and the changes in itinerary. @dfish Good luck with the CT scan. Thanks for the recipes (too much work for me though). @ottahand7 I'm glad you're doing well after the tooth extraction. @aliaschief I do have one usb-c brick that I think came with an iPad. I bought a couple of adapters from C to A, so I can use old cables. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. We have the Carnegie Museum of Art here, but I won't be going to it today. I'll salute World Freedom Day and Carl Sagan. True quote. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink (cake mix in a drink?) and wine. I've been to Italy, but I haven't been to Palermo. This morning was rainy, and it's still cloudy. Temp is 55F. I slept a little better, I think from the dose of Benadryl I took for my RA injection last evening. But I had weird dreams and woke up half out of bed (I normally sleep in one spot and don't move much). Not much on the agenda today, as I can't walk around without pain; I hate to sit so much, but it's the only way I get relief. I need to make some banana bread (as muffins) with the browning bananas I have. @StLouisCruisers Wonderful Palermo photos. @rafinmd Safe travels. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I used to play the piano, but don't consider myself a pianist (I still have my childhood piano). Radiology changed medicine. I'll take a cappuccino. Good quote. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Sarande. 2 good days in history. It's cooler today, but mostly sunny. Yesterday was gorgeous, with a high of 67. Well, my time of feeling better was short lived, lasting about 8 hours. When I was making dinner, the standing started the leg pain and numbness. Sleep last night was back to 4 hours total, interrupted by bouts of awakening due to pain. I went to PT today. I just did stretches. I tried the recumbent bike but that caused too much pain. Ended my session with hot packs on the back and leg. I'm playing phone tag with the person who's to schedule the Social Worker call. She left a message while I was at PT, but I couldn't make out who she said ordered it. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for mentioning STEAM, which has been important in getting more girls into science, technology and math. @kazu Your bursary story must have been lovely, and from the heart. @Cruzin Terri Although costly, you want your car in good shape for the drive to FL. Draining the knee is usually a simple procedure, and provides relief. @aliaschief Welcome home! @Nickelpenny Too bad they messed up the paired wine dinner. @smitty34877 Oh no on the change of polling place, with no notice. Good evening. Maybe I have a modicum of hope. Despite a bad night last night, and hobbling down the stairs this morning, I did the leaf blowing for several hours this afternoon. I mainly had only the old muscular back pain, and no bad leg pain. Then I came in and had a 2 hour nap in the recliner. Dare I hope that maybe the injection is finally doing something, and it just took a while to work (it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I got the epidural)? It will be interesting to see how tonight's sleeping goes. This few hours without pain has been wonderful! @Cruzin Terri It's good to hear that Jim is doing better with his knee issue. @rafinmd I'm glad you're safely on the train. Now you can relax. @kochleffel Sorry the gala dinner wasn't up to par. @aliaschief I'm glad you're home safely.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Cancer is something I hope research can one day conquer; in the meantime we need to do our screening tests. I'll hug one of my stuffed bears. Retinol (Vitamin A) seems to be all the rage for face serums. I like the quote. I'll take the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Marmaris. Another nice day here. It was 61 this morning! Cloudy now, but some sun later. Same old same old for me. I don't know if I'll try any leaf blowing later. @StLouisCruisers Amen to those awful political ads ending, as well as the messages to my cellphone! So far my working diagnosis is nerve impingement due to narrowing of the space where it exits the spine, either due to bone spurs or disc herniation, both seen on a 2021 MRI. It will be interesting to see what the new MRI shows. Sorry to hear your dear neighbors will be moving. Thanks for the Marmaris photos; and that's a nice picture of the two of you. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Pulau Komodo Island. An important day for Mexico. It's lovely here right now, 65 and sunny. But windy. I'd thought of blowing the leaves, but I'm in too much discomfort. I got about 4 hours of sleep. The pain usually eases an hour or so after I'm up, but not today. I went ahead to PT, fearing I couldn't do anything with the severe pain. I mainly used hot packs, then did some stretching exercises. I don't know what I can do to feel better, sigh. Just got a message that "my provider" wants me to talk to a social worker; I don't know what that's all about. @seagarsmoker Sorry about the subpar dinner and lack of activities. @StLouisCruisers Certainly mixed news. So sorry for Susan and all of Mark's family and friends, after his brave fight against cancer. And good news that Scott will be moving close to home for his continued rehab. @Cruzin Terri I hope Jim's knee continues to improve, so that he can walk without pain.

I visited Kona in 1992 on a trip to Hawaii. I used to shoot slides back then, but scanned some into the PC. I was at the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. This ‘place of refuge’ was a safe haven for those that broke the Kapu laws, which in old Hawaii were punishable by death. If you reached the Puʻuhonua, you would be pardoned by Kahuna and given a second chance at life. The Hale o Keawe Temple, guarded by carved wooden Kiʻi.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. I like football (Go Steelers!). I don't do Chinese takeout, but eat at Chinese restaurants with BFF sometimes. No red hair here. Good quote. I like the meal and wine. Pass on the drink. I have been to Kona. it's going to be a nice day. Unfortunately too early to get leaves to the curb, and the next 2 days are supposed to be windy. Well, another bad night. I woke up after about 2.5 hours of sleep, with pain. I sat up in bed to try to ease it. Still awake, about 3:30AM the power went out. I looked on an emergency services app I have and saw that a nearby transformer had blown. So I had to get up and put my CPAP on the backup battery. Power was restored about 5AM, so I didn't have to go downstairs to put the fridge on battery backup; the freezer and alarm system stay on backup all the time. Later, standing up to brush my teeth started the intense leg numbness and pain, causing me to hobble around. It's settled down a bit now. I'm going to attempt to go to the big box store, and will take a cane for some support, although the shopping cart will help hold me up. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'd celebrate candy day with chocolate. Community service is important. We should all use common sense daily, but many don't. I like the quote. I like a good chicken pot pie, but have never made one. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Horta. 3 good days in history. It's partly sunny and going into the low 60's today. I took a muscle relaxant before going to bed. I had thought I slept better. Although I awakened multiple times due to pain, I didn't think I was awake as long. But my watch shows about 4 hours of sleep total; better than 2.5, but not great. And I had strange dreams, that I can't remember now. I'm back to a lot of pain and tingling when I stand. I'm trying to parcel and vacuum seal some meats I bought, and I have to sit down every 5 minutes or so. @smitty34877 Thinking of you and the family as you remember and celebrate your dear Lou. @seagarsmoker Enjoy St. Kitts.
