  1. I don't believe you need a sleeve of cups and lids - if you want to be able to walk around with a cup of coffee than people suggest bringing along a A cup with a lid. The lid was the only thing no longer provided. There were plenty of single serve jams on the tables in the morning, condiments are never single serve packets on O . Shampoos and lotions were plentiful in the bathrooms. I am confused on what your comment meant to imply....
  2. I am glad that there are the crew gratuities which are shared with so many "behind the scenes" crew who perform personal service for me - laundry (my clean sheets, towels, dining linens, etc.), dishwashers (my clean dishes), public area maintenance, etc.
  3. We had our embarkation changed from Venice to Trieste a few years ago and surprisingly loved Trieste!. We hired a private driver to pick us up at Marco Polo airport and drive us to Trieste hotel. We then spent 2 days exploring Trieste, Slovakia, Northern Croatia and Italian coast. We would go back to Trieste gladly.
  4. I think they were saying that is where the library is going and the new creperie is going where the library is on Vista, next to Barristas. It would not make sense to have an eating spot tucked away on Deck 14...
  5. Yes - they were in the Lync digital room between the Internet room and the smoking room on Deck 14. Lots of games and puzzles and tables to use.....
  6. Sounds yummy - not on the deck plans ....will have to wait and see the unveiling
  7. Yes, inquiring minds want to know...I just looked at the Deck Plan for Allura and the library appears to be exactly the same as on Vista...we loved it on Vista
  8. Same with us - appears it was popular on our cruise!
  9. On Vista there are heated loungers out on the spa deck....perhaps there are some elsewhere too on Vista....only commenting on Vista since that was the topic of this thread
  10. In the spa area at the front of the ship that is free to Concierge and above and available for others to purchase a day pass
  11. Sorry we couldn't have been as lucky as you....Red Ginger is our favorite too and we were able to get extras there.
  12. We were able to be served a mimosa at breakfast on Vista last month....
  13. On Vista for a B2B and heard many rave reviews for Ember and people trying for additional nights...we tried towards the middle of the 2nd cruise and could not get an additional so someone is liking Ember. We gave it rave reviews...
  14. I have only seen the GDR brunch on a sea day when crossing the Oceans with many sea days in a row.
  15. Yes - enjoyed a glass of port after dinner
  16. We enjoyed Embers and it was a nice change of pace from the heavier fare in Polo and Toscana. The filet mignon melts in your mouth and the crab cakes from Polo are now served in Embers, Request a table by the window or in the front section and not as noisy
  17. This type of drill is normal when sailing in that area - nothing new, We had those drills in that area several years ago,
  18. We sailed on Vista a few weeks ago and the procedure was the same - beverage package is noted on your room card. When the waiter came to the table and asked if we wanted anything to drink and when we said yes, asked if we had a beverage package. They took our room cards at the end of the meal to input in register and brought back to us. No signing of anything, We usually took our cards out and put on table so they could see we had a package and could take when they wanted,
  19. You do not have to book through Amex Travel to receive the $300 Amex cruise privilege perks. You must use your true Amex Platinum card to pay for the cruise. Then your TA contacts AMEX and receives a code from them to give to Oceania for the OBC. We have never booked with AMEX travel and have always received the OBC (when combinable with any sale we have used).
  20. Your assumptions do not follow our experience - we have been in a high level cabin and went online at midnight for the last 3 cruises and only had late time openings. So the late specialty reservations must be saved for everyone not in a Suite based upon our experience and your assumption. When onboard we checked to see about changing to earlier times and were able to for some. When we had an 8:30PM reservation and there were several empty tables, we asked the maitre d about it and he said lots of people fail to cancel their reservations and just do not show up. YMMV
  21. We also enjoyed Embers on our recent 32 days onboard - we tried several times to get an extra reservation while onboard and never was available
  22. No idea - only heard about Aquamar....
  23. I was told that they were going to add Aquamar to Marina in the La Reserve space.....
  24. Enjoy your travels on your new chosen travels and miss seeing you on the O forum since you no longer are sailing with them
  25. We just got off Vista after 32 days with the standard/SM drink package and never had a problem getting our drinks refilled at any dining venue....where did you observe this?
