GoPro. You should be able to find a Hero2 for a good price; unless you want the latest one.
I have a GoPro as well but that would not take the place of a regular digital camera. There is no viewfinder and the optional back LCD panel would make it hard (it's rather small) to frame the picture.
The GoPro is great, I just would not use that as my main camera.

Just pulled into port... Incredible cruise... The Haven was spectacular... Anoop was our concierge and he was great. Julie was the cruise director, absolute sweetheart and fantastic. More details to come!! Perfect weather the entire time other than leaving in a thunderstorm last Sunday!

You want to know how paranoid I am about getting to the ship on time? I live on Long Island and we are sailing out of New York City on a Sunday. We are spending the night in Manhattan on Saturday. With no traffic on a Sunday it would normally be a 45-50 ride to the port from my house.
I was only kidding about the paranoid part. I got the Queen tickets to Jersey Boys on Saturday and it makes no sense to drive in for the show, home to sleep and then back to the port in the morning. What makes it even better was getting the hotel for the night in Times Square, using points off of our hotel card and it being Broadway Week, got tickets for half price, 2nd row mezzanine.
Nice way to start the vacation.
:D

PS just a thought. The only way I would even consider flying in the same day was if I got my air through the cruise line. It's not foolproof but if your flight was late, there would probably be other cruisers on it too, they would wait for you. Not guaranteed at all though.

I would never do it leaving out of the North East. We have been hit with a lot of funky weather the past x amount of years.

Not sure if it matters or not but we have the UDP and I saw on the menus that most have an extra charge for an additional entree. I guess that's understandable, although I do like to try new foods and still have a "backup" entree that I know I will like.
My question is
Is there an additional charge for ordering more than one appetizers and/or dessert?
Nope, enjoy to your heart's content.
Which might not be too much since most of the desserts are rich.

Beautiful view once again.
But it looks like the damage (or the repair tech) left the camera off kilter - the image is not level.
My OCD is twitching!
Okay, I just looked at the port and they are showing a rerun again of a Carnival ship from 4.19.2013.

We are booked on the Breakaway over New Year. We are traveling with another couple. We have booked using different TAs. I have had our resevations cross referenced. Both couples have purchased the UDP.
- When can we make reservations for our dining online? In the description of the UDP it says that after you purchase you can reserve dining online but I do not yet see that option (we are still 100+ days out).
- With our reservations cross referenced will I be able to reserve dining times for both couples via My NCL on line? We would like to make the reservations for all four of us so we can reserve a table of 4. This would be much easier than each of us booking indpendently and then trying to ensure that we get a table for four.
Any assistance is greatly appriciated.
Ken
1. I believe 100 days for Haven, 90 days non-Haven.
2. Yes.
Hope this helps.

This is 2014 so far,
You can see there is a pattern ( NOT a schedule )...
Bermuda Docking 2014
May 7------Port Side
May 14-----Port Side
May 21---- Starboard Side
May 28---- Port Side
June 4----- Port Side
June 11---- Starboard Side
June 18---- Port Side
June 25 ----Port Side
July 2------ Starboard/Port Side (both!)
July 9------ Port Side
July 16----- Starboard Side
July 23----- Starboard Side
July 30------Port Side
Aug 6------ Port Side
Aug 13-----Starboard
Aug 20-----Port Side
August 27-----Florida and Bahamas due to hurricane Cristobal
September 3----Starboard Side
.
Two things:
1. I hope we port on the port side on 9/17.
2. Has anyone else seen that there is a Carnival ship docked in Bermuda on the webcam today? (it's a 17+ minute loop from 4-19-2013).

Every Day at Sea is a Great Day
I just pulled up the POB webcam and I see a Carnival ship there.
What's up with that? It's docked where the Summit usually is.

.....Alaska was my first cruise. And I'm kind of sorry I went. Think of all the money I could have saved on 17 cruises. ;)
I wanted to pack in as much as we could because I never thought I would go back again so we did 2 excursions a day.
WRONG!
Going back June 2015. Now I have 271 days for research. Thinking about that I better get started now.

.....don't become a "Pier Runner" on Friday. It's a real buzz kill.
Also, go on your roll call and the Bermuda board. Both great suggestions.
We've done Jet Skis at Somerset Bridge Watersports and will be renting a pontoon boat from them in 2 weeks. We have gone to Coco Reef Resort and will be doing it again in 2 weeks.
Horseshoe Bay, wandering around in Hamilton and the Segway excursion from NCL just to name a few others.
Have a good trip.
Hope this helps.

Your request for the phone number 1.800.327.7030
The basic one I have from 11/2013 is:
These alcoholic beverages are sold as Bar Set Up amenity orders. Available on all Ships excluding Pride of America.
Please Note: Pricing from Nov. 2013
Bar Set-Up is available for all stateroom categories.
Bar Set-Up is available for purchase onboard but you will be charged 15% on top of the price of the bottle instead of the $3 service fee.
Bar Set-Up must be pre-arranged before the voyage and can be requested up to the day prior to sailing.
Prices are subject to change. Service fee of $3.00 per bottle will be applied. 1.800.327.7030
.....I had the phone number. I was just hoping maestrotim could edit their post so no one would have to read further than the first post to get the info.
Maybe this thread will cut down on Bar Setup questions on here.

Cabin 9130 is a B6, which is a Large Balcony, not a Family Balcony. (A Family Balcony is a different category - don't get them confused.)
My B6 was next to a slant balcony, and from what I could see, a lounger would probably not be able to fit. However, it's still a spacious balcony. With that said, I wouldn't give up the $300 for the B6. I'd say keep the slant balcony and purchase the Ultimate Dining Package with the extra money. :)
.....keep the "bump" and use the extra money for Vibe, Specialty Restaurants, Carlo's Bake Shop, etc.

No, I am not geting on by myself. I am only 13. My parents are not using Cruise critic because they do not feel like it so I have to be the reviewer in the family.
Keep up the good work. The more questions you ask, the more searching you do will all pay off in the end for your family's cruise.

Doing the eastern Caribbean and twice I read on different websites that you need more than your cruise card to get back into port to board the ship. Any info greatly appreciated.
All I've ever needed other than my sign & sail card is valid government picture ID such as a driver's license.
