  3. By July the staff will have everything figured out. They are new working together. I have read some great reviews so don't dwell on the negative. You'll have a wonderful cruise.
  4. I called AARP...again. This time the rep said at first I wasn't logged in to AARP rewards. Then she said there was a tech issue and she had to fill out a "ticket" for the back end to look into it. Said I would hear back in 3-5 business days. 😞. She said they usually email but I said if they should call to make a note to leave a direct phone # as I screen calls and if I don't know who it is then I won't answer.
  5. Thanks. I found it yesterday. Still can't purchase. Get the same tech difficulties as on my laptop. You are right though, the gift cards are hard to find.
  6. How recently? I tried last night and this morning. Laptop and phone. Can’t do it. Message says tech difficulties. Calling is no help.
  7. I just downloaded the AARP app and I get the same message saying technical difficulties. 😞
  8. What app? AARP? For the first time we bought some about a week or so ago. We went to buy more today by signing myself up. We had major issues because dh login had my email address and my cell phone. I use my stuff so much more it was easier. Didn't realize it would cause a problem. First rep wasn't good and she ultimately "disconnected" me. Called and got someone else who realized we needed to be transferred. That person helped. We had to first change dh email address to his so I could use mine. Then I had to use his cell number for my login. Ultimately we will change it. However, when I went and found Princess gift cards and clicked on the $500 one I got an error message. Said : We are currently experiencing technical difficulties in processing your request. Please retry in a few minutes. Thank you for your patience. All I did was click on the picture and never got to even enter a credit card, etc. I hope it gets fixed soon as I need to buy my max of 5 before March ends!
  9. Not true. I have a cruise in August. A couple of days after the announcement that it has been extended I submitted to stock perks and now have the credit for my August cruise.

I am very surprised that you never received an apology and some other form of compensation... whether it be a little OBC or even a gift of some hors d'oevres delivered to your cabin or some flowers, or even a voucher to a casual restaurant or specialty restaurant. Something. If this was done in a timely fashion the OP would have felt a little better about Princess/and or the situation. Something happened to me (not as serious) a few years ago on Carnival and I was shocked at how well I was treated afterwards.
  11. Right now you can ask for it as long as your cruise is by December 31, 2024.

  13. I'm sorry for what happened to you. Some people really fell down on the job by not responding. I really feel that you could have had a different response if different people were involved (different ship or another time when crew members were different). We once had an issue on a Carnival ship that in no way compares to your issue. I found a bug in my bed. We notified guest services. They put us in a different cabin for the night while they "sanitized" our cabin. The next night I received a phone call from guest services telling me that for my troubles I would be receiving a large sum of refundable OBC. It was about 50% of the price of the cruise. I was shocked as I had not asked for anything. So it really does matter who is in charge and how they handle certain situations.
  14. Interesting. May be. In any case, I received all five gift cards at 2:13 am. I just finished checking the balances (good!) and printing them out. Now we can take care of ordering more under dh account! (although I will do it later).
  15. Happy for you but now I feel bad (not your fault but AARP). Had you ever ordered before? I never did.
  16. @Thrak Thanks. I called up AARP rewards. I should have received the email but did not. He could see that I placed the order at 5:21pm Eastern. He said I should receive the email with the card info within 24 hours. He also sent me an email with this info which actually says if an order is placed between 8-5pm Eastern M-F then the order will be received within 24 hours. I did it at 5:21 pm so we shall see how long it takes!

  18. @JimmyVWine For me it has now been at least 20 minutes maybe 25. Now I wish I just bought one card instead of the 5 that I did just to make sure it all worked!
  19. I just bought my first bunch of gift cards. Did the max of 5 cards. It has been at least ten minutes and haven't received an email! Getting nervous. Everyone says it only takes a few minutes. Anyone have it take this long?

  21. @Cruise Raider As I said previously, I never received the email saying that the OBC was approved. Two days after submitting it I saw it on my personalizer. Today I received an email from Stock perks saying, sorry but it has been denied! Reason? I already received it. I checked the personalizer and it is still there. (thank goodness). It scared me for a second!
  22. @Cruise Raider I always check spam folder. Oh well. Important thing is I got the OBC!
  23. I wonder why I never got the email? This was the first time I went through Stock Perks.
