  1. @thesnoopster2 Ships medical center puts the bill on your folio (at least they do on Princess) so it is all part of what is charged to your credit card on file. I would suggest calling tripinsurancestore.com . They can answer your questions about insurance. They are really good and highly recommended on here. I have used them myself.
  2. https://mddsfoundation.org/about/ Look in the FAQ under How long does it last? I'm 2 weeks out from a cruise. There is lots of other info on their website.
  3. Lucky you! Something in the brain is not recognizing what our eyes are seeing so it thinks we are still on the water.
  4. FYI - If it lasts no more than a month it is Mal de Debarquement. If more than a month then it is a syndrome. it also affects many more women than men.
  5. @BApal I am a fellow sufferer. I have had it since a cruise in November 2017. On a scale of 1-10 I am mostly a 1 or 2. There is a F group if you have not yet joined. Some people have had it since they were kids. I feel for them. I did go to a neuro-otologist who did testing and told me I had it. He didn't find anything wrong. There is no cure for this but some people find relief with medication. Many people say not to cruise again but there are some who do. I have cruised four times since. I never fly home the day of disembarkment but the one time I did my rocking was a little higher for almost 6 weeks. When going on a long car drive I stop every two hours and walk around. After a good night sleep I am back to my level 1-2. If you haven't found the national site for the MdDS Foundation, here is a link: https://mddsfoundation.org Good luck. It can still go away.
  6. No but I just went to their website and it says their private tours they can pick up at your hotel and drop you off anywhere you want. It says to contact them what you have in mind and they will quote you a price. So I say just contact them.
  7. Thanks again for taking us along. A year ago we did Athens before a cruise (and going back again next summer!) and stayed at the Athens Gate. Looks like you saw a lot in your one day of sightseeing!
  8. Glad you had a great time. Their description shows going to Pompeii first. Did the driver decide to go to Sorrento first and Pompeii later? Were you on any roll calls where you advertised the tour to others or did Italy tours get the rest of the people from strangers (to you) who had contacted them?
  9. We were on the Sky the beginning of August. One of our travel partners also had a gluten and dairy allergy (MDR was great in getting her meals she could eat). She got gelato (she had NO package) because they had a non dairy flavor (I think it was vanilla). They did not charge her. She got it another day too and again she was not charged. Our guess was they didn't charge because it was the only place on the ship with non dairy ice cream. Oh, and she thought it was delicious!
  10. We got tote bags on the Sky in August. I think if some people don't get them it could possibly be that they are waiting for a new shipment of them to the ship. There was a thread on here previously about this. Most people are getting them with some saying they didn't see them. If they didn't see them then they assume it is a cutback which doesn't seem to be the case.
  11. That is exactly what she did. Nobody was around. It was a sea day and last day of the cruise. No one to ask although we didn't spend much time there. Three people not sure what to do and there was something to press that said "cash out". 😞
  12. Thanks. She picked a slot machine she didn't understand how to use. If the need arises on her next cruise she will know what to do (and pick a slot that looks easier to understand).
  13. We were recently on a cruise and one in our party needed to get $40 from their folio which was nonrefundable OBC. It was the last day of the cruise, a sea day. I told them how I have read of going to the casino. It was pretty empty in there. We went to the first slot machine we saw and they deposited the $40. We had trouble trying to figure out how to use the slot and saw where it said you could cash out. Unfortunately nothing was played. When we went to the cashier they said they would give them the $40 but because nothing was played they were now locked out and banned. The question not asked was is this person banned for life or just that cruise? Thanks.
  14. Thanks. I did but someone else has a different tour listed. For various reasons I prefer mine.
  15. Has anyone who has used them NOT been able to have them fill the van so it either cost more or was cancelled? So far we are just three people in the van. The roll call is really quiet although I did post the info there. Cruise is not for about 9 months.
  16. Of course you can’t just assume it will be fixed and you will be notified. In the US we can call them. I don’t know about others but in July when my outbound flight was cancelled (which I saw online) I called EZ air. They confirmed it and gave me another flight which was ok with me. OP is in the UK and says their TA is working on it with Princess but that has been a few days already. I would ask what is taking so long.
  17. Have they told you why it is taking so long? I don’t know how it works in the UK but in the US it is much faster.
  18. We brought our own masks and wore them (except for me while in isolation).
  19. Enjoy your cruise! On my recent cruise I used the decorative pillow from the bed to put on the floor up against the night stand. Did the trick but steward put it in a bag under the bed when he did the turndown. I quickly discovered where it was and used it every night. I can't believe how bright those lights are!
  20. Is the lock forever? We tried to do it for the first time a few weeks ago for one of our relatives. Wasn't sure what we were doing so ended up cashing out the $40 without playing the slot. Guy at the casino window gave them the $40 but said they were locked out and automatically banned. didn't ask if the ban was forever or just that cruise.
  21. Don't stress. All airlines adjust their schedules. Delta does it frequently. Plane Sailing will get you on needed flights.
  22. Thank you. I was really surprised at how quickly I was called. Same day!!! I just wish caller ID identified them or at least said Santa Clarita. Maybe the rep works from home and that city is where she lives. Either way, glad I picked up the phone. 🙂
