Really? Not on embarkation day? I am sort of shocked! We board right after you and have an active roll call and expected it to be listed in the program on embarkation day!

For those of you currently onboard any of the Azamara ships……did you see a Cruise Critic meet and greet listed in daily program? If so, where and when? first day?

Azamara used to have these seafood buffets regularly on embarkation. I am so happy to see this return and hope we see it on Pursuit when we embark soon for Ireland Intensive cruise!!

Mine was the non stop PHX. There is a morning one and afternoon one. Looks like BA are cancelling the afternoon ones for quite a stretch of time in June, anyway.

I will just caution anyone who has cruise air with Azamara to be checking your air. British Airways is cancelling a lot of flights these days. I used Miles with AA to book my return flight from LHR back to US on 6/24. Today I woke up to an email from AA saying, please contact us. My flight on British Airways was just cancelled. Needless to say I spent a couple of hours on the phone rebooking my return flight on AA, not British Airways. I lost premium economy because it is all booked out at this late date. So for that 10 hr flight, we are lucky we got the last two extra legroom seats at least. It could have been worse, it could have happened in the middle of the cruise that I received this notice or worse yet, had the flight cancelled on the day at the airport. There are also lots of strikes that may happen to air and rail in Europe so there’s potentially going to be a lot of travel pitfalls this summer. keep checking your air, no matter whether booked with Azamara or booked independently!

did you come with any written proof of what OBC should have been? Just asking because I hope if I come with written proof, all should be ok. And I board 6/13.

We didn’t like our cruise last April on Viking and I did a review here comparing it with Azamara. We had really bad service in the MDR 2 times and then stopped going there. The food was not better than Azamara, with exception of croissants, which I don’t need to eat a lot of. ice cream was watery. I really missed Azamara service. Cabin was nice but that does not make a cruise. Missed two ports, etc. I don’t recommend Viking.

Oh, thank you! I think CD Martin is due to leave soon and Emily will be back as,CD? At least that is what I have heard.

hi Kevin. I am the original poster. You can see it was started back in 2021, after we all were getting back to cruising post Covid. It was quite popular and the thread was “pinned” for quite awhile. This thread has over 2.6 k replies! It was really nice because people were posting regularly on this thread. Then it was “unpinned” and has not been used much at all lately.

Specialty dining in Prime C or Aqualina, chefs table, bingo, shops is what I can think of off hand. Also photos.

It’s wonderful to hear from someone onboard with a full report. I wish we could hear from a few more people. We also haven’t had much info on current officers onboard thread. It would be nice to have some updates.

Hi @IslandThyme! We did a cruise to NZ on Azamara back in 2017. We did a couple of wine tours with Azamara (their excursions, not private ones). Napier: we went to wineries in Hawks Bay…..Mission Estate Winery with beautiful gardens, Sileni Estates an one another that I don’t remember the name of. Marlborough: we did a wine luncheon at Brancott Estate out of Port of Picton. Enjoyed the wines and the lunch. Hope this helps somewhat.

Agree. We just got the email for our 6/13 cruise, as well. Kind of expected it. No big surprise and I am confident it will go well based on all the comments from our previous CC posters.

I think that is a significant difference to be able to lounge and look out the front windows! I love what I see! We will see how I feel when I board and experience it in person.

Thanks. I like the look of the big loungers that face the windows. On all three of the other Azamara ships, a good part of those windows are blocked by the stage the band performs on.

@AlphaOne I would have loved to see a tour of the Living Room, as the layout is just slightly different than the other ships…..or so I hear. I will experience it in less than a month myself. Do you happen to have any video or pics of the Living Room?

You aren’t the only one, I guess. I have seen others say they didn’t receive the emails, despite doing all that. I have seen a sign of improvement but not as much as any of us would like.
