  1. Exactly the same for me. Am giving it another few days to settle down before I check again. Let's just hope they don't have the same IT team as Princess. The Medallion app problems started 3 years ago when it first was launched and they still haven't sorted it all out.
  2. I changed my password with no trouble at all. Hopefully will be able to see our upcoming cruise ‘soon’. If anyone thinks there are problems with this changeover, just go to the Princess site and look at Medallion problem posts. The subject is already on the third thread because each of the previous two became so long. This third one is already up to 4000+ posts. I spent one hour and ten minutes on the phone yesterday with Princess to sort out my on line registration as it was impossible to do myself. Haven’t cruised with Princess for years, but this was the only itinerary that fit in with our plans. Hope the cruise experience is a great deal better than the check in on line.
  3. I should add that I managed to get most of my Italian homework done during the waiting periods while the info updated, so it wasn't a complete loss of time.
  4. I just spent one hour and 10 mins!!! on the phone to Princess. The agent was very helpful and filled in all the necessary info for the app - and I kept seeing GREEN TICKS alongside each item of required information as she was inputting! All was breezing along until something happened and she could no longer hear me, which was before she had time to fill in all my DH's info, so she had to end the call. However, I managed to complete the info as the 'Save' button had miraculously turned from grey to blue. We've taken our security photos and we are now both in the green lane. Hallelujah! The phone options give you a choice of blah, blah, then choose this if you're having a problem with the Medallion app. So Princess are well aware - have been aware for three years - that there are problems (lots) with it to have an option dedicated to problems with the app. Not good enough, Princess, just fix it! This will be our 50+ cruise, we haven't cruised with Princess in years. And as I said previously, this had better be some cruise to make us even think of booking Princess again. Now, do I need a G & T or a lie down?
  5. mdgary, thanks for posting. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your cruise, we'll be on Regal in June. Regarding the decline of food quality, this seems to be the same issue across several cruise lines. We can put up with reasonable price increases but still expect value for our money. We can only hope things improve.
  6. Someone on the Regal (which we're going to be on) is posting live and this is what they've said about the Plus beverage package: "For those asking about the price limits on the plus package it does appear that it covers drinks up to $15 regardless of when your purchased it. We payed for our plus package before the recent change and to test it out went to the medallion app to order a $16 drink and it covers $15:and a dollar whatever would be added to your account. " This is good enough for me. If it doesn't happen and costs us a few more bucks for drinks, it won't be a problem.
  7. Yes, it is good to have a kindred spirit - and I bet there are a lot more out there with this same problem, maybe they aren't members of CC. Have a great time in Oz, I absolutely love the Jacaranda trees in blossom.
  8. Thanks so much for answering this question, there are a lot of 'theories' and differing experiences on a couple of other threads. Have a great day.
  9. No you're not batty! Or maybe we both are?? 😁 Because the 'save' button has always been - and still is - greyed out for me. I've re-loaded the info, updated the app, tried also on the website and nothing clears the 'save' button.
  10. There’s no need to be snarky. I want to see this evidenced in our own booking. I do not see that same screenshot. There are numerous posts on this thread with varying reports, just look at the two I quoted above.
  11. It looks like the Personalizer is different in different countries. When I try to book a package I get a message: You may already have beverage packages. Review confirmed packages When I click on the Review link I just see the Plus Beverage Package - 50 with no beverage limit. And as I posted above: When I click on Packages under Payment and Packages it is still showing beverages up to $12.
  12. HiCCCs and Capriccio Thanks for your comments but this is what I'm seeing several times on this thread, one person says the Plus Beverage limit will automatically increase from $12 to $15, another that if you booked at $12, that's what you'll get. And, yes, others have posted proof that their limit has gone up to $15. Ours remains at $12 in our booking. I do tend to think if you booked at $12, that is what you'll get. We mostly drink wine, the odd martini now and again but no high end liquor, so won't be paying for the upgrade as I doubt it would be worth it. Those desserts in the upgraded Plus don't do anything for me! And if one indulged in them, one would no doubt need more than the two fitness classes per cruise to remove the evidence from the hips!!
  13. Please can you direct me to where I can find this in writing, ie somewhere that states that when I booked it was a $12 limit but is now $15?
  14. Paid in February with Plus Promo. When I click on Packages under Payment and Packages it is still showing beverages up to $12. Under Cruise Personaliser it's Plus Beverage Package - 50. No mention of the $ limit. I booked with a UK TA but surely that doesn't make a difference? What with this beverage confusion and the Medallion debacle, which still won't accept anything in OceanReady, our cruise will really have to be something to make me even think about booking Princess again.
  15. Good news Buzz, thanks for posting. I'll give them a call and see if they can sort us out.
  16. This is on the FAQs on the Aus site: * What’s changing with Princess Plus and Princess Premier? We’re adding great features to both! Effective 16/12/22 on sailings 20/02/23 and onward, Princess Plus will now include premium desserts, and fitness classes while Princess Premier will offer all these, reserved theatre seating and a Medallion accessory. The cost changes as well: now $65 per day for Plus, $95 per day for Premier. * Will I receive the new perks if I purchased Princess Plus or Premier at the old rate of $50/$85 per day? You can absolutely upgrade to the new perks at the new price! If you do not wish to upgrade, you can enjoy the package with the original perks as you initially purchased them.
  17. Sorry if I confused anyone, I didn't think about the currency. I found this when I Googled Princess Plus and only just now scrolled to the end where it states prices are in AUD. Although it makes no sense for them to quote anything other than USD as that is the on board currency. https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/au/plus-premier-cruise-packages/ So we have a beverage limit of US$12 p/p? How do they charge for drinks over this price? the extra amount plus a gratuity? Doesn't really matter, we mainly drink wine, just the occasional martini and I should hope that wine at least comes in at US$12? Just trying to sort this out before we get on board. A few dollars over $12 won't be a problem, we don't go for high end whisky etc.
  18. Sorry to bring this up again, I know it's been discussed but - I'm seeing this same info under Packages. We booked our June cruise with the ‘Includes the Princess Plus Promotion’ (in the UK). Paid in full on 10 February this year. It's still showing the beverage limit up to $12 each in our Personalizer, plus wifi, plus crew appreciation, all included. Has it been decided that in fact we should be getting the updated package? I'm seeing on princess.com that Plus includes beverages up to $22 each, wifi, and the three new items. Confused.
  19. A day in the Princess infirmary is what we need having to deal with all this. On second thoughts, make it a week.
  20. FYI. I just checked DH and me in for our Azamara cruise in April. It took all of 5 minutes, which included time spent searching for our passport details. I logged straight in, entered details for both and had our boarding passes immediately. Princess, take note, it can be done.
