  1. We're getting more and more conflicting info! Sorry to quiz you, but who on the ship told you you don't need the visa for PNG? Are we able to sight this anywhere in writing? Not keen to pay out US$50 each if it's not necessary. Thank you in advance.
  2. Thanks again, have responded on the 01 March roll call.
  3. Hello Onward World Cruise passengers! Wondering if some kind person could help several of us on the 01 March segment Sydney- HKG? Do you know if we have to organise our own visas for PNG, or does the ship get a blanket visa for all on board? We’re getting conflicting advice from Azamara and TAS around the world. Thanks in advance.
  4. I think Jazzbeau is right. We were on an Azamara cruise last April and were free to get off the ship at both of those ports on our own with no restrictions. I just checked a couple of shore excursions at the two ports for our similar itinerary for this coming May and, again, no restrictions. It does sound like it has been erroneously carried over from the early post-Covid restriction days.
  5. We were on Edge over Christmas/ New year, Australia/New Zealand. The music in the Martini Bar was deafening. You had to yell to be heard, making conversation impossible. DH complained but the DJ just shrugged. We walked out of two shows after the second number because the music was just too loud. We of course mentioned this in our post cruise survey. It does seem to be a bigger problem on Edge class ships, which is one of the reasons we won’t be travelling on any of them again. That cuts out all the Australian season on X for us, because they are only operating the Edge here now. Always other cruise lines to choose from.
  6. I had posted on another thread and some kind soul gave me a link, which shows full details and prices of the shorex for our itinerary. Problem solved for the upcoming cruise, I'll have to delve deeper for the next one when I have time.
  7. Thanks, I have done that and can at least see a clear list of excursions, although with only a brief overview and no prices. I don't see a screen to log in. There is the option to print/save but (maybe it is my PC?) I can only print, don't see how to save the document. This still means I have to look at the shorex as above, then log in to my booking to get prices. In Manage my Booking when I click on 'details', there is only the same, brief overview, no further information on any of the tours. I'm about to phone Azamara in Australia to see if they can be of any further assistance.
  8. Experiencing the same problem as DS in post #5. The huge banner takes up half my screen. It is almost impossible to see all the details of a particular excursion. Hoping that someone has found a way round this? Yeah, right, joke. Still the worst web site on the planet.
  9. I know it was always subject to local regs etc and haven’t heard of it since Covid but was hoping it may have been brought back. It was a brilliant idea, so much more relaxing than having to get day use of an hotel before leaving for a late flight. Shall have to search for a HKG hotel with day use then. There are a couple at or near the airport but the reviews are shocking so it’ll have to be downtown.
  10. We also would like to know if this is possible in Hong Kong. I did phone Azamara in Australia, the rep said she’d get back to me but that was about six weeks ago.
  11. Yay! On Edge now and offloaded my coins at the casino. They’ve been lurking in a drawer for years. Happy cruising!
  12. Thanks so much for posting the outcome, GVM. I had exactly the same question. Have now packed my US coins for our upcoming cruise!
  13. Glad to hear the issues have been resolved. It really is important to bring these matters up at the time. I have a favour to ask. Do you know if they have Clarins and Clinique skin care and cosmetics for sale in the shop? Trying to work out what to spend my OBC on! Enjoy the day.
  14. Not to mention a chair like that is the worst thing to sit on if you have a bad back.
  15. 😱 Hope so too! We’re embark for the Holiday cruise in Sydney. All you guys currently on board, please don’t drink all the good stuff!! 😉
  16. I really don't think you can compare Celebrity to Silversea! They are totally different products.
  17. Absolutely. I’ve been following the prices on the Edge 21 December departure from Sydney in available suites. Sky suites have consistently been priced at AU$12,000 and a bit per person = $24,000 and a bit for two. With the latest promo and Black Friday ‘sale’, the prices are AU$19,045 per person = $38,090 for two. Less the Black Friday savings of $226 and the 75% off second guest promo, the price for two is …………$24,049. Celebrity, this stinks I just hope that no-one gets sucked into booking, thinking what a great bargain they’re getting. (Although the original price was excessive, IMO, and maybe why there are still 28 suites up to Celebrity suite still available, at just over 5 weeks to departure on a Holiday cruise).
  18. That certainly is inconsistent! Ah well I'll just wait and see. DH is saying a firm NO to moving up as we do have a SV which we loved on Beyond (this year it's the Edge). But if a better offer comes in, he could be swayed...possibly. The rooms with an opening window, aka Infinite Veranda, do not appeal so we're glad we booked very early to get a real balcony.
  19. We received a MoveUp Bid email for our 21 December Holiday cruise. I checked and there appear to be 20 Sky Suites, 3 Magic Carpet, 3 Aqua Sky Suites and 3 Celebrity Suites available. This seems a lot of availability in Suites but I think it's because the prices, even for a Holiday cruise departing 21 December, were/are outrageous. Can anyone tell me: Does Celebrity usually reduce the Move Up Bid price if there is still plenty of Suite availability getting closer to departure? and If they do reduce the bid price, will they send us another Move Up email? Thanks for any answers!
  20. Hi Huddler We're on this same cruise, also in a SV, which we love. Have received a Move Up bid offer also. I checked and there appear to be 20 Sky Suites, 3 Magic Carpet, 3 Aqua Sky Suites and 3 Celebrity Suites available. As you say, this is a lot of availability in Suites but I think it's because the prices, even for a Holiday cruise departing 21 December, were/are outrageous. My questions also are: Does Celebrity usually reduce the Move Up Bid price if there is still plenty of Suite availability getting closer to departure? and If they do reduce the bid price, will they send us another Move Up email? Thanks for any answers!
  21. Actually I did note this in my first post, sorry I didn't repeat it. Outside the payment box is stated: "a service charge for your dining and stateroom attendant are included." We just received confirmation for a Princess cruise and it couldn't have been stated more simply: "As you have booked Princess Plus you will receive the following: *Plus Beverage Package inclusive of bar service charge. For all guests under the drinking age, the Plus Coffee & Soda Package will be provided as an alternative. *Unlimited Wi-Fi for all guests in the cabin who have booked Princess Plus, one device per guest *Pre-Paid Crew Appreciation for all guests in the cabin who have booked Princess Plus *Premium Desserts (2 per day) *Fitness Classes (2 classes)" Seems that Celebrity prefer the smoke and mirrors approach.
