  1. As per my previous posts, I in-put and double, even triple checked that all the information was correct, several times, for DH and myself, on the app and on the website. It was very difficult to get the app/web site to accept anything other than +1 as country code, but I eventually did it. Still not able to save Our TA said there are 'currently' problems with the app and to just turn up with their, and Princess' confirmations, which is what we're going to do, at a time that suits us. If we have to wait a while to board, so be it. I'm putting together a 10 week trip to Europe, leaving in about seven weeks, I don't have any more time to waste on something that has caused thousands of people a lot of stress. Obviously, the Medallion system/app was flawed from the very beginning, I don't know why Princess just don't wake up and admit it, junk it and start again. We're heading towards 50+ cruises, mainly Celebrity, Seabourn, Azamara, and I've never experienced problems like this before. It does at least make me feel better that thousands of others have had difficulties as well. If you're expected to go through all of this every time you sail with Princess, this will definitely be our last time. Again, please excuse me letting off steam!
  2. Thanks and this makes sense. But I did double check everything. It was difficult to get my country code (for Australia) to be accepted but it did eventually. And I entered the emergency details for us both several times. When I have more time (and patience with it!) I'll try again.
  3. Thanks. The exact problem is that I enter all the details and on both the web site and app, the 'Save' button is greyed out. As per my original post, I've done it twice on the web and twice on the app, carefully checked each time, and it's always the same, greyed out 'Save' button.
  4. Sorry if this has been discussed already but I can't read through 183 pages! Filled in all 'Ocean Ready' info twice on the Medallion app, it won't save anything and I've double checked it. Also tried twice on the web, same thing. After almost an hour, I've had it! How can I print a boarding pass and luggage tags without going into this medallion trauma? Do you have to have a medallion? No way I'm wearing anything on a lanyard around my neck! Have done 50 cruises but haven't travelled with Princess for many years, looks like this may be the last time. Cruise is in June on Regal. Thanks for any comments and excuse me blowing off steam!
  5. Same in Australia, it really annoys me. Can only get a refundable deposit if we pay the considerably higher deposit amount.

  7. Hi Mary Good to hear from you. Thanks for the info, pleased to have a confirmation of what I (thought I) booked. As a matter of interest, what happens when you change a cruise, I assume this is after you paid just the deposit, not the full amount? Do you lose money? Brenda
  8. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Please can someone tell me what ALLINCBO75 means? I'm assuming it is All-inclusive and something or other. The invoice is showing -7315 for each pax. It is pretty obvious and I'm pretty sure I booked all inclusive but stupidly forgot to take a screenshot of the quote, and the offer, before I booked. I wish they'd write it out in full, plain English instead of using the codes!
  9. Our problem is that we’ll be in Italy for a couple of weeks prior to the cruise, with a rental car. We need to know where to drop it off before we can book. Currently Padova looks the best place as there is a direct bus service to Chioggia. We’ll have way too much luggage to take multiple forms of transport as we’re travelling on for a further six weeks after this cruise. I wish that Azamara would commit themselves one way or the other, ie they’ll provide a transfer from wherever, or not, paid or complimentary.
  10. We’re on the April 22 departure and received an email from Azamara advising we’ll depart from Chioggia. I just hope they are offering a transfer from Venice somewhere, which I think they should be obliged to do. It looks as though Chioggia isn’t the easiest place to get to with luggage.
  11. Thanks for this info and I hope that Seabourn still use this port next year. This year we had an overnight stop at the new Istanbul cruise terminal, which is enormous, it's about 15 minutes' walking to get out to the street. Whilst you can get a tram or taxi to the Sultanahmet area, it's so much better to be docked close to the centre.
  12. I’m enjoying reading this, thanks Calm Down for your many helpful posts, we’re doing the Istanbul to Athens itinerary on Encore next year. Dunnedg, it’s good to know that Schweppes is freely available, for me, no other tonic will do. Please can you advise which terminal in Istanbul is used for embarking and disembarking in Istanbul?
  13. Please can someone confirm this is current for 2022 cruise? From OP: If you select the house select beverage package as one of your free perks, can you pay the additional $20 pp and upgrade to the premium package? Thanks
  14. Looking at booking a 7 night itinerary on Journey in April next year, Venice to Rome, the first port next day is Ravenna. I rang AZ today and was advised that 'things may change' for next year and Venice could still be the actual departure port. Somehow I greatly doubt this. I explained our problem is that we'll be dropping off a rental car so don't know which port to book for the drop off. The staff member said make it Venice and there will be transfers to Ravenna, if docking in Venice is still not possible. It's all sounding a bit wobbly to me, especially if you don't book flights through AZ. It's quite a distance between those two ports, the train entails two changes (as far as I've found), which we couldn't do with luggage. Now Trieste is being thrown in the mix! Should I get something in writing before we book?
  15. We also have seen Ray Brown Jnr. on Celebrity. DH was so over the moon, he hardly missed a performance. Ella is his big idol still. Do hope that Celebrity will bring Ray back on board. Happy cruising to you too, with lots of good music. 🚢🎷🎹🎵
  16. We too were on a cruise with Les Demerle and Bonnie, it was way back, loved their music and went to listen to them most nights when they performed in the Ensemble Lounge. We bought two of their CDs which we still enjoy. We were recently on Reflection and only discovered the terrific group playing jazz in the Ensemble late in the cruise. They had a confusing name, something like the Seagulls, which unfortunately didn’t indicate they were a jazz group.
  17. We contacted Special Needs, who gave us clearance to bring one on board. We had it in a carry on, on Reflection in June and Beyond in July (Europe, this year). We weren’t stopped, just carried it on. Would recommend that the pad has a cut off timer and that you contact Special Needs, just in case.
  18. Won’t work, that offer finishes at V4. Next availability is PH, not interested in that, nor ocean view.

  20. Problem is, it’s the only V4 left on a Med cruise next year, cruise is already heavily booked. Difficult to see from deck plans but looks like both doors are close together so wondering if that is the ‘interconnecting’ bit, which would be fine. Was hoping someone here had stayed in this cabin or similar.
  21. Has anyone sailed in this suite? A bit concerned as it is an interconnecting cabin, which we try to avoid. Thanks for any comments
  22. Thanks so much, now not worrying about it, we will have all the documentation in hard copy in our hands. Looking forward to escaping the heat of Europe, at least whilst on the ship. Med ports will be hot but we’ll be out early and back on the ship for lunch and a rest for the afternoon.
