  1. Thank you for posting your enjoyable Live thread. Have a safe trip home.
  2. And Day 2 is a Sea Day. Also the time changes don't look right. This is the current local time: Ft Lauderdale:12:30 pm Cartagena: 11:30 am Colon: 11:30 am Puntarenas: 10:30 am Puerto Quetzal: 10:30 am Puerto Vallarta: 10:30 am Los Angeles: 9:30 am I don't know why the ship's clock has to be moved forward an hour two days before Puerto Vallarta and then moved back an hour after leaving Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Quetzal and Puntarenas are all in the same time zone from what I think I know.
  3. Thank you so much for posting. To me, this is the definitive source. Having said that, it is extremely surprising that the first Evening Chic night is on Day 3 instead of Day 2. What did your app say?
  4. Last month, Celebrity published a flyer showing the pricing for lunch and dinner in the specialty restaurant for each ship in the fleet. It is also useful as a guide to see which ships have which restaurants. For example, earlier this week someone posted a question if Qsine still existed on any ship. The flyer makes it clear that the answer is "no".. Here is the link: Specialty Dining On Board Pricing
  5. For those affected customers who take the cancellation option, I hope their travel agent's commission is protected. Of course, that's if they have one.
  6. The lightning fast speed at which information is posted on Cruise Critic can drive travel agents and Celebrity call center reps crazy.
  7. Welcome to Cruise Critic and I am sorry that this happened to you and your friends. I suspect that since you got a great deal, you are going to choose the Lift and Shift option.
  8. As you know, I will be on next year's westbound Panama Canal cruise. When you have a minute, can you please post a photo of the section of the front page of today's Celebrity Today which shows the map, itinerary, which days are evening chic nights, and which days the ship's clock is adjusted because of time zone changes?
  9. The obstructed sight lines to the port from new construction was evident in your earlier photos. Have a nice embarkation day.
  10. When we boarded Constellation last Oct, they did not offer my wife or me any sparkling wine. They did offer us a sparkling ship though.
  11. I am just glad that this thread did not get locked or deleted.
  12. We have stayed at the Renaissance Ft Lauderdale on one or two occasions before a cruise using Marriott points. The last time we sailed out of Port Everglades (2019) we didn't have the points and the cash price was over $400 for a Saturday night stay. We ended up staying elsewhere.
  13. I hope your embarkation goes well today. I enjoy seeing photos of Silhouette in her bright blue livery. The last time I got a good close look at her, it was in the dark and she was sporting her old paint job. This past November during our Constellation Transatlantic cruise to Tampa, when we sailed past Key West I saw her with binoculars docked there from a distance. Silhouette at Port Everglades very early in the morning on Jan 18 2019
  14. lol. Ok, so you guys actually debated the demerits of tilapia. On another topic, it sounds like you need to have us over to your house for dinner. I am available next week.
  15. Like the others have posted, I too am sorry about your accident and the relative lack of response on Celebrity's part. Thank you for sharing your story.
  16. If you are new to cruising, you may not have recognized the merits of @NMTraveller's earlier suggestion to use "Flights by Celebrity". If you book your flights with FBC, you have the option of not paying for the air fare until your final payment for the cruise is due. There is no deposit required either. That is probably the biggest advantage of using them. Until you make this delayed airfare payment, you can also (without penalty) decide to cancel your flight reservation with them and book independently if you wish. Also, I believe (but am not 100.000% sure) that if your cruise is cancelled by Celebrity after final cruise payment deadline (which means you would have paid for your air fare payment by then), you will get your air fare back, too.
  17. I like that. How many merits did you guys come up with?
  18. ART ADE (Another Reason To Arrive a Day Early). I’m glad it worked out for you. I look forward to reading your posts. Have fun.
  19. Actually I think to some extent, it was the kiss of death.
