  1. The table reflects the months that the Club Points were credited which usually means the activity occurred in the prior month. So the lull that you observe is actually for the month of August (credited in Sep).
  2. I don't have a subscription either , but was able to read it. Sorry about that. Here is another news source on the subject: https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/08/murray-thrilled-with-celebrity-cruises-coming-to-port-canaveral/
  3. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/Caribbean/Flyers/CEL_8_15_23_CAM_CS-EQ-SM-AX_Redeployment_Consumer.pdf
  4. The announcements so far do not make the transition date clear.
  5. It appears that the extended cruises (e.g. 9 night/12 night sailings) are being eliminated in favor of the traditional 7 night cruise. So those that booked Constellation for those longer cruises will be affected.
  6. Here is a new flyer that Celebrity published today: New Sailings to the Caribbean
  7. If they decide to do South America, I am guessing that they would go with a Millennium class ship (Infinity used to do this run) or possibly go with Edge class. I don't see them going with another Solstice class ship for the reasons I outlined earlier.
  8. Although I don't do cruise ship scheduling for a living, I am mildly surprised that they didn't just move Eclipse over to Port Canaveral and leave Equinox out of it (1 ship move instead of 2).
  9. Here is the press release in the Orlando Sentinel: https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2023/08/15/celebrity-cruises-to-join-expanding-port-canaveral-linenup/
  10. interesting. I wonder if that means Celebrity is going to move another ship to do S America.
  11. It does seem like the PUP earning opportunities have tailed off this year. I looked back at my earnings history and compiled this table to see for myself:
  12. My Club Point total has advanced by one! I can now go about with my work day!
  13. We typically book out about 2 years in advance (when the schedules are first released) because we have a specific cruise date, ship, and cabin in mind.
  14. When mentioning that during the call he also added that he wants to reduce that value gap between land vacation cost and cruises so that it is closer to the pre-pandemic days. My guess is that he is not going to work on reducing land vacation prices....
  15. The second bedroom has a single bed on the floor and a bunk bed that folds out of the wall above it. The main living area has a couch. The same standard couch that is in the veranda cabins. Solstice FV 8107, Dec 2019 Reflection FV 8107, Jan 2019
  16. Our young adult kids (daughter and son) have slept on the couch and the lower bunk bed in 8107 and 8108 (family cabins) on Solstice, Eclipse, and Reflection. They found it to be pretty comfortable. Our furniture may be a little different than what you are looking at.
  17. It still appears that the EU will be implementing the ETIAS requirement next year. You will be doing it online and it will cost 7 Euros. Authorization is supposed to be pretty quick. It sounds similar to the e-visa application that we had to make to travel to Australia and New Zealand. I don't think it will be a big deal--you just have to remember to do it.
  18. That technology has been available for quite some time now. You would think that Celebrity would make use of it.
  19. I think you are quite correct. If pricing was on a need-driven basis, I shudder to think what kind of prices and fees that Celebrity Space Cruises would have 100 years from now.
  20. For a long time I have found when placing an order through the phone that Celebrity's calculation of the stacked discount Wi-Fi price differs from mine. Every time I ask for a breakdown on how they calculated it I get an answer that I don't quite understand and I realize that they would have to resort to using hand puppets to explain it to me. Fortunately their method yields a lower price than my way although I have to fight my engineer's urge to be right when I conclude the call.
  21. Our best experiences were at: 1. Olympic 2. Normandie 3. SS United States Never had a chance to dine at Ocean Liners.
  22. It's a reference to either indoor plumbing or an Elite perk that I've never had.
