I might need to write a mobility scooter from the port in Quebec and ending in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone know of a company that does this?
thanks!

Thank you so much for your detailed answer. It’s much appreciated!

1. When arriving at the port in Fort Lauderdale, once the porters take my baggage, will there be wheelchair assistance available to get me through check-in? And then onto the ship?
2. I will be leaving my rental scooter in my cabin... when it's time to disembark...Will the wheelchair personnel come to your cabin and get you?
Thanks

Very happy to hear some of your home! So glad for you.
They sent out tickets this morning and let some people off around noon. Nothing since. No manifest approved for this afternoon. I guess it could still happen but I'm not holding out any hope
There are 290 of us still left.

I am on the Coral Princess. Thank you everyone for all the Coral Princess related post.
I am so glad to hear fellow passengers have started to leave. Can not see passengers leaving, we are on Starboard side. We really need to hear an update from our Captain.
We sure do! Nothing since last night about 7 PM. Like I said earlier had I not been reading this thread I would not have known that people are getting off and getting on planes. I've not had any plane reservations, tickets, any contact at all..
nothing

Our friends got the notice they were leaving in a letter this morning. And they were called to disembark pretty quickly afterwards. They had gotten flight information yesterday for a scheduled flight this evening. Pretty quick those plans changed for them. They are still waiting on the plane, hasn't taken off yet.As I mentioned before it is a charter flight.
Thanks Sue! I haven't gotten anything. So I guess that probably means I'm not getting off today or tonight. But I can still hope

Well, thankfully I got on this board and read that people are disembarking and getting on airplanes. Very happy for them!
However, I'm a little unhappy that for those of us on the starboard side that cannot see the dock area that we had no idea this was going on. We have just been patiently waiting for an announcement from the captain or the passenger service desk and we've not heard anything since last night
It would have been nice to get some kind of announcement to give us some kind of update and hope that we were getting off

This Cruise left March 5th from Santiago Chile. So no one drove to the port ....the first segment was to end on March 19th in Buenos Aires and those people getting off had flights to go home. The rest of us that were on the full 32-day Cruise would have ended up in Fort Lauderdale on April 6th.
We got close🐧😄

......anyway, back to the Coral Princess.
We have just had the rendevous with Regal Princess, and a huge thank you to them for a terrific welcome. The ship’s crew lined the deck railings. They played a tune (don’t know what!) on the ship’s horn, snd sent an extra boat with the entertainment team, all decked out.
Quite emotional really, and thanks to both ships for providing much needed light relief.
Our captain turned the ship so both sides had a view.
We are now underway towards FL, with RP following.
that was The Love Boat theme, that the Regal played for us.
It was the theme song for the television show The Love Boat in the United States. And when you're on a ship now, they play it at the muster drill

Soap does a pretty good job of deactivating the virus (better than alcohol) so go crazy, especially on any hard surfaces. It is counter-intuitive but the stuff lives the longest on hard plastic and stainless. Wash your hands *for 20 seconds* any time you pick up anything, and when you come in from the balcony. If your hands aren't chapped by now, you are not doing it right. I would not be out where somebody is coughing and I would avoid their side as much as possible if I went out at all. Wash down surfaces if you must go out.
Your situation is not good at all, but with care you can do well. Be careful of disembarkation, I would request that they let you leave before the sick person. Also request gloves (they have a lot of them) in addition to the mask. The gloves are probably more important, honestly.
How do you know they have a lot of gloves????

The families were told first. And the captain just now came on at 10:22 pm Eastern Time and shared with everyone that people tested positive for the coronavirus. But he did not give a number yet. ..he said they would be Distributing masks for us. He said more information tomorrow

Of course, valid concerns on your part. However... You stated that it is a spreading of the Coronavirus
we do not have any confirmed cases of coronavirus only flu-like symptoms. This is how rumors get started

The Captain said in his announcement about Barbados today NO PASSENGERS would be getting off the ship

I've got another rumor for you...
Brazil declined to accept any passengers, and coral is underway to florida.
That is not a rumor... I am on the ship and the captain announced that

I heard ... and this isn't even as stong as a rumor...
Folks who are neither british nor american will be disembarked in Brazil.
British will be disembarked in Barbados.
Coral will continue to Ft. Lauderdale, and disembark all americans.
But, there is no approval for this yet.
I am on the ship
No info about going to Barbados.
Please don't pass on rumors

Stay on the ship. You really don't want to experience international travel right now, especially to the USA. On the ship they have to take care of you, otherwise expect to stand in line for six hours or more just to stand in line to go to quarentine. Not much to come home for anyway. It will get sorted out eventually but now is not the time to leap into the void.
We WISH that option was available

I love EZ check! On our last transatlantic we had gone to Morocco and EZ check wasn't available for us to use in Fort Lauderdale. Bummer.
But, they still have it for most cruises there.

The new medallion apps provide info of what's going on In a strange/different format.
On my last medallion cruise I bought the unlimited pkg. I opened up Chrome and typed in "crown.primcess.com" it brought up the older Princess at sea app and I could read the patter a lot better AND looking at your account and ordering breakfast was still there too.
I used my medallion apps and also the older version at times

Just off the Crown .... medallion net was good. Fast and was only down once (that I know of) and that was about 10 mins.

Does the Emerald Princess have the new upgraded TV channels/system?
Thanks

I saw a headline today stating that the latest Windows update was causing all sorts of printing problems.
Yes! trouble printing documents (size/margins etc were all off)
The "size" of the luggage tags changed for me about a year ago. I had to go in each time and make them larger.

... give it to us straight when we board the ship and ask which dining room is open.
... design new ships to include a sofa in standard balcony cabins like the rest of the civilized world.
Jim
Totally agree, Jim - if not a sofa, at least a love seat in Balcony cabins.

I hope that if Princess "followed" any cruise lines bathroom layout, it would be Disney's. A bathroom with toilet and sink. A 2nd bathroom with sink and tub/shower.

Thank you!
I should’ve been more specific. I have tried both of those companies and neither one will allow you to rent it in Canada and turn it back in in Fort Lauderdale.
