We will be doing a Princess cruise in October, ports of Halifax, and St Johns in Canada.  We would use our credit cards for big purchases or lunch/dinner.  Do we need some Canadian dollars for small purchases, or do they take American dollars?  TIA

The newer ships have hand held showers.

The older ships, you can request them in advance.  HOWEVER, most of the time the hand held is installed and just hanging there.  They did not put the "holder" on the pipe like shown.  Out of 4 cruises I requested it, only ONE ship put the proper fittings on.  This was last fall and earlier, so perhaps things have changed.

If you will notice, it reads the information at the bottom (the part they scan in their computer) and not actually the photo, etc.  When I did mine, it highlighted that information.  They have your picture in their database and it pulls up with your information.  The photo you are uploading is for their security when you get on and off the ship.

My question:  I scanned in my Passport and it gave me the "green light" to take the pic....

Would the app tell me if it's not readable or not good enough? 

I can see it okay - but, It's not real clear or doesn't seem big enough

The coffee drinkers seem to like that they have another option.  The food at all of those places is still free (one fancy burger has a charge) You don't have to pay, or buy anything to sit there.  Don't get your complaint.

The winnings are split and the extra in the envelope goes to the person who made us the most.

Dollar machine with max bet as 3

Each person gets 5 pulls = 15.00

The Extra dollar we put aside in an envelope

We keep a list of participants and write down how much they made $$ for the group

The person making the most money gets the extra dollar envelope

No, no, no. The Salty Dog Grill has a new expanded menu. Nothing costs extra except a big burger with lots of stuff on it.... it's 5.00. Everything else is no charge.

Personally, I'm waiting for the curtis stone signature medallion.

Can anyone who's been on the CB recently and has been to the Crown Grill comment on whether CB has implemented an extra charge for additional entrees in the Crown Grill? I seem to recall some threads on these boards about some Princess ships adding this policy, and this has long been the case on NCL.

Yes, they have. I was on in April and you could choose one from the "chop" or "steak" section, additional entrees were 10.00 extra.

We walked to the train station from the port. About 20 minutes. Then bought our tickets at the station and took the train in to Rome. Very nice train. Walked around Rome, saw the sights and then took the train back and walked back to the port. Very easy and efficient and cost effective. There are always going to be alot of people from the ship doing the exact same thing so you can always just walk with the crowd and ask questions. That's what we did!

Are there taxis available at the port to take you to the train station?

I wish I had found the OP's phone number they suggested before I called the one on the website at the top of the form.

Spent an hour getting transferred around and having to input my info in EACH time.

Took 4 tries to get the lady to LET me speak to her supervisor who said it could be credited properly now in 7 to 10 days. (Originally they said 30 days)

I remembered you guys saying call that direct number...JUST DID! talked to a manager, who put me on hold, apologized profusely, and had my points credited properly within 5 minutes.

She was very helpful....but, I think once I redeem my benefits for my next cruise, I will cancel this card. I can put my money towards something else or my airline miles....the payout for OBC on this card isn't that great.

I recently noticed that the time stamp on posts is an hour behind my local time. I do NOT know how long it has been this way, I never paid much attention to it. I just looked at my user CP and I see that the correct local time zone (Pacific) is revealed/selected, yet posts are 1 hour behind Not that it is a big deal and I have never noticed this subject being posted before. Do posts show your correct local time? Current time is 8:37 AM PDT

Yes, Holly I've noticed this too. Ever since Daylight Savings Time took effect, the time I see is an hour off most of the time. Right now it's correct. Yesterday it shows I posted when I wasn't even online.

I will check settings like someone suggested.

I've been on both - twice.

Love the Grand for it's smaller size and less people.

But, I love the Ruby also. I like Skywalkers and their Crown Grill.

I would choose either one for the right itinerary :)
