Flying on Jet Blue on a mid-afternoon flight post cruise. Any suggestions on how to spend the hours that will ensue at the airport?

I’m not sure that the drinks part is correct. It is $17 limit but most of the drinks at world class and almost all of the martini bar drinks are covered based on menus from folks sailing recently. The one challenge has apparently been wine so maybe that could be what you are referring to. Other than that I probably cant add much, Celebrity is our favorite. We will be on the Ascent in a few weeks so let me know if you have any questions.

Does anyone know if free bottle water is provided on excursions or can it be purchased prior to disembarking for an excursion ie. beach day excursion. Thanks
They have it available for purchase near the gangway typically.

Good to know. We have Le Voyage tasting menu booked for my husbands 40th birthday but we are also in the MDR the rest of the time. Still expect it to be a good time. Thanks!

Trying to gauge your reaction Le Voyage. If you hadn’t had the prior experience would you have enjoyed this one more? Just curious. Enjoying your review!

Any Celebrity cruisers been to Palms Court Gardens on St. Kitts? We are there on Ascent along with two other ship but we arrive first. Just wondering what it has been like recently.

Constant thoughts being “Crew” don’t pay an admission fee and it’s a short distance from ship.
Therefore, very, very popular with (no pay) Crew and Pax walkers (no need for a cab).
More ships in port equates to more Crew and more walkers of the Pax variety.
If this is the potential vibe one wishes, then go ahead and book.
Crew doesn’t bother me. I used to work for Celebrity as a crew member and we are the first ship to arrive that morning.

Oops. Looked at the wrong date on my port calendar. 3 ships.

Anyone been to Palm Court Gardens lately? Any recent thoughts?

Anyone been to Palms Court Gardens on St. Kitts recently when Celebrity is in port. We are there on Ascent along with a Holland America ship. Just wondering what it has been like recently.

Don’t they have a TV channel for that sort of stuff? I wonder what time it starts on port days? Even earlier, before arrival presumably?
I think they move it to later in the day closer to sail away.

From what I’ve heard, Gen X is Celebrity’s target market,
Just a reminder that older millennials are now in their early 40’s.

We did a 14 day Southern Carribean cruise during Spring Break and there were few if any kids. I think a lot of it has to do with the length of the cruise.
That is true. I should have been more clear. Cruises that match with spring break so 7 days or less will have more kids and the longer the cruise the fewer the kids. That is actually a year round occurrence. Also the farther from the US the few the kids though summer in Europe can have more. -

Hi, Can you tell me about your experiences with April vacation? I'm hoping there will be enough kids for my 9 and 14 year old to play with in the kids clubs. Thank you
March and April cruises, at least back, then would typically jump from under 30 to a couple hundred kids onboard. If it is their Spring Break I would expect that to be true still.

House band sounds good. I'm upstairs away from the crowds but I like what I hear. I think it just switched to a DJ playing music but the band sounded good.
I'm used to closer to 4 but whenever we push off is fine longer before I burn my free internet minutes 😆
I am following too many cruises out of Port Everglades. Ascent left at 3:30pm

Our last cruise was on Reflection and also the ship we got on right after I proposed at sunrise on the beach in Miami. Brings back good memories.

How soon depends but typically they do it pretty quickly. I booked a veranda gty for our cruise on Ascent and our last cruise on Reflection. Both were assigned within a few weeks of booking and long before sailing. The downside is you dont get to pick location, but even that is not so bad. Our gty for ascent was in the front near the theater and I got it moved to the back in the same category.

You were so close you could have swung by and picked us up! (When you were at DCA)

Six weeks for us and the same itinerary!

Seems that it is mostly Everglades and that isn’t particularly interesting to us and we are on Celebrity. Return flight is 3:20pm, so expecting like 5ish hours to kill.
