  1. Thank you. (That's what usually happens with other cruise lines as well).
  2. Thanks - hoping I can use my OBC.
  3. Such good information. Thank you. I did wonder how much a taxi would cost and now I know it's better to get the shuttle with Azamara from the airport. We are not flying in the day the ship embarks but our hotel is not far from the airport so it's easy to get back there to get the shuttle. The e-mail we got says our boarding time is 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. so I guess we have to get there around that time. The check out time from our hotel is noon so we will have to spend a few hours at the airport probably. Not sure if we are allowed to board earlier than the assigned time?
  4. Thank you - good to know. Seems the answer is Yes.
  5. If we have an OBC can we use that to take Azamara transportation from the airport to the ship? I don't want to spend hours on the phone to find out so perhaps someone reading this will know. Please and thank you.
  6. Ours starts June 17th but we have not received any info. I will be watching for it....
  7. I found an outside parking spot for the 17 days I needed it in June. I googled "parking in Montreal near Dorval airport" and found a few people with parking spots. Very reasonable prices as well. I don't need a hotel for the dates, just the parking so it works out well for us.
  8. For the self-serve laundry on the Journey ship what coins are needed to use the washer and dryer and is there some place to get the soap for the machine?
  9. Thanks for the info. I will check it out. We are your ex-neighbours in Champlain Park on Port Royal (Wendy and Bob)
  10. Thanks again. I will check it out. Wendy
  11. Thank you for the information. It looks like the cost will be over $300 for parking for the 17 days so I will keep looking.
  12. We are flying to Bordeaux from Montreal on June 12th in early evening. Having a hard time to find transportation from Ottawa to Montreal that day with good times etc. We would like to drive from Ottawa to Montreal and park for 17 days. There used to be hotels close to the airport where we could stay overnight and leave our car for the duration - not sure if there are any of those hotels left. We want to park our Kia Soul for 17 days from June 12th to June 28th. Any suggestions for reasonable place?
  13. Exactly - also if we are tired after a long flight and then have to drive to Ottawa. Plus the cost of parking for 17 days. Hoping a train or bus will work out instead. I will ask Air Transat if they have any bus service or find some other company.
  14. We have flights to and from Montreal to Bordeaux, France in June and wonder if there is any bus from Ottawa to Montreal provided by Air Transat?
  15. I spend lots of time in PV with my mobilty scooter - I have a Travelscoot. It can fit just fine into the back of the Toyota Avanza cabs that are all over PV. I don't even have to fold it up - it just fits in with the handlebars lowered. I can go from the hotel zone where I stay to the Malecon on my scooter - there is a bike lane and /or sidewalk the whole way. It is rough for the first kilometre from the cruise port to where I would start. Some sidewalks are very bumpy and often no cut-outs etc. The Malecon is fine for a scooter - it is pedestrian only and very wide and lovely. Lots of shops and restaurants and great sculptures and the ocean etc. I hope there will be transportation for you to get there with your scooter. There are also large white vans around but not sure if they have wheelchair lifts in them? Hopefully your cruise ship will have info for you. Very close to the port area there is a large Walmart and Galerias Vallarta - lovely upscale shopping centre with a food court on the second floor with great views of the port. Elevator to take to go upstairs. Good luck.
  16. I have a Travelscoot and have brought it onboard NCL, HAL, MSC etc. and also on many airlines - no problems. Lithium battery has to be taken off the scooter and brought into the airplane with me. I have a bag that I put the battery in - I bought it from Travelscoot but I think any cloth bag would be fine.
  17. I wondered if the ship was not at capacity and my cabin was not occupied if Azamara would allow us to board on the evening of June 16th? I may ask our TA to find out for us if it's possible. My husband wants to go out of town and it would help if we are already on the ship the evening before then he could go off early on the 17th to do the tour he wants to take for the day. The next day could be problematic time wise for the whole day tour so going on the 17th would be better for him.
  18. We are boarding the Journey in Bordeaux on June 17th and I noticed that they will be docked the night before (June 16th). We are booked in a hotel in Bordeaux the night of June 16th and I wonder if it's possible instead to get on the ship on the evening of June 16th instead of June 17th?
  19. OMG - I love your sense of humour. I laughed so hard at the "diamonds" story. I had some really good laughs at your post. I also have great admiration for Jill!!!!
  20. I am always cold so I wear my lightweight "puffer" jacket on the plane which I usually find very cold. It is easy to carry and fold up when I don't need it and I am always happy to have it for the return plane trip. Once we arrive at the airport and wait outside for a taxi I can wear the jacket.
  21. I have a Travelscoot and wonder if I will be able to see any parts of Mont St. Michel? Any info would be appreciated.
  22. We have had Medoc for many years and had some medical emergencies that they reimbursed. The last couple of years we have had problems getting reimbursed. I am still fighting with Medoc 14 months after submitting a claim. They keep asking us to fill in forms that we submitted to them many months ago. To say I am frustrated with them is an understatement. When I try to phone them I wait for a live person for over an hour and then hang up in frustration. The part that really hurts is seeing that deduction from my bank account for the policy this year that is costing us $285 every month. I certainly won't be staying with Medoc next year if they continue to ignore me and make ridiculous demands for forms that we have completed and sent to them more than once. When I send them an e-mail with particular questions and information I get their stock reply that they will respond when they can and they apologize for the delay etc. etc. Same thing over and over like a broken record.
  23. I think you might be able to use the shore excursion credit for the transfer to or from the ship (to and from the airport) if it combines a tour with transportation. I asked when we were on the Rotterdam recently and I think thats' what they told me.
  24. Exactly. I just need the room in the cabin to charge my battery and I could take my battery in the cabin and my husband could bring my scooter somewhere to store it overnight. I wish there was a way to do this on ships. Would help lots of us with scooters who can still walk enough in their cabin and can part with their scooters overnight etc.
  25. The form for Air Canada is very similar to the one for United. Different format but basically the same questions. Air Canada suggest having one copy for them and one copy for the scooter owner.
