I’ve been pretty absent from CC for a while and missed your whole post until today. We were in SSM for a family wedding and saw Le Bellot the weekend before you would have been there. It reminded me of your saying you would be trying them out. We also saw the Viking Polaris heading out of the locks. Thanks for all of your work in posting his information. It looks like a great itinerary and brought back so many memories of growing up in the north, school trips to Mackinaw Island (well before the days of passport requirements lol). Fantastic pictures as always!

Yep not impressed at all. It’s going to be an interesting cruise if they actually switch to this permanently. On the app they are now showing a large vegetarian section so that might help (if you like mushrooms lol)

these were night 2. Of you go into the next cruise on the app you will see them. They have added a vegetarian section way at the bottom of those menus which give you some additional choices.

I saw a picture of tonight’s menu. I said the same thing to my husband. How much chicken and steak can I eat on a 14 night cruise. I did see a vegetarian section at the end which adds a few more choices in (if you are a mushroom fan)

They are in their trial phase of the new menus in the MDR. Maybe they don’t want to publish that too widely 😳

No they aren’t there. I checked the current cruise. A current cruiser on another forum said they are not appearing on the app for them either.

I am trying to find the menus for the current Apex cruise. They changed them on the last cruise and it was a drastic cut. Each of the 4 MDRs had their specialties and the complete entree menu for night 1 was the classic chicken, steak and salmon plus Israeli couscous cake. That was the entire menu. Hoping to see more as this cruise sails.

You can get unlimited drinks between 5 & 7 at any bar except the martini bar or the MDR. Most people will get a drink/wine and bring it in to the dining room with them.

We are doing three nights before our Antarctic cruise in Iguazu Falls. We booked our flights from home to Iguazu (IGU) which connect in São Paola. We are staying on the Brazilian side. We then fly from Iguazu on the Argentinian side (IGR) to Buenos Aires. We land at the downtown airport so it is only 3 km from our hotel. We decided to splurge and are staying at the Hotel das Cataratas in the Brazilian National Park. That gets us 24 hour access to the falls so before and after it is open to the public. We booked it 9 months in advance and prices have now more than doubled! We also wanted to stay a few nights with access to get the full moon shots over the falls. The Gran Melia in the Argentinian National Park has the same privileges and depending on when booking prices are comparable. I just planned this out on my own.

I would say for Ushuaia go with Celebrity excursions. We are on the January 14th sailing and we were supposed to be tendered. They wrote a few weeks back and said they now have a spot at the pier and will be tendering Celebrity excursion passengers only between 10-2. Then once docked at 2 everyone else can get off. Not sure what those who have private excursions will do. They are hoping to still be able to tender.
