How much local money would we need between euro's & English pounds for a 14 day Britain, Scotland & Ireland cruise which also includes Belgium & Rotterdam. Last year on our Norway cruise out of Denmark never had to use local money at all. Have no idea what their money looks like we used CC for every little thing. Is it the same for the British Isles? We are planning on bringing some local for small things like an ice cream or drink etc.

I see that the Eurodam is still confirmed for 1500 & the NA for 1545, wonder how close to that time they actually depart.

I would do it again just for the salmon bake, it is excellent.

It is the World cruise Jan -May 2024. There is more then one person posting daily up dates about the cruise.

On the HAL board the World cruise just cancelled the Suez / Red Sea they're going around Africa on the west coast.

I guess that is not a surprise to most people.

The ship is the destination & not the itinerary.

My first HAL cruise was on the old Rotterdam V back in 1981, we did the Amazon on the Maasdam, and three cruises on the the Prinsendam and our table was asked to join the Capt. for dinner, his name if I recall was Chris Turner.

We are staying on the old SS Rotterdam V which is turned into a hotel. It is close to the train station & it's close to where your ship docks on arrival.

At least it's not in the middle of supper & I might be able to watch a sail away.
