    We are staying on the old SS Rotterdam V which is turned into a hotel. It is close to the train station & it's close to where your ship docks on arrival.

    At least it's not in the middle of supper & I might be able to watch a sail away.

    Rotterdam arriving, she did a nice long toot on the way in, that should wake every one up. Don't know how happy those trying to sleep in are.

    The old Nieuw Amsterdam was our first HAL cruise 36 years ago, we have also cruised on the new one. Many pleasant memories. Happy Birthday.

    As we all get older these are things we have to think about, sad but true. We have seen the odd ambulance dock side waiting to take a passenger off more then once. We have also had some one die after they were taken off the ship by the US Coast Guard in Alaska. It is a good thing to talk about with those left at home in case the unthinkable happens to you in some far away land.
