  2. I had a good experience with the Chat Session. After two phone calls to customer service asking why my Medallion app is not working on my phone, two different "navigators" told me: "the app will only work after final payment"! What! Sounds screwy. I linked on to a Chat Session, and in a few minutes, was texting with Joseph, explained my issue, he told me it will be corrected in 24 hours. AND IT WAS! That's great customer service!
  3. When any of the staff calls me Mr. P, or by my given name Robert, I always ask them to call me Bob. It just makes it more personal; and in my many years of cruising, on different cruise lines, they all did! It's a simple request.
  4. Keep in mind---Book early, you have a nice selection of available cabins, book late, yes, the price may be lower but, cabin availability will be less.
  5. Just curious: For those who have cruised on the Enchanted Princess; and have dined in the Reserve Dining Section; is it along the size of Lumanie and/or Blue? We've been trying to find photos, but no luck. Thanks for any input you may have.
  6. When I said we’ve been doing it since 2003, I neglected to indicate that we did that for the main dining room.
  7. Because some have said that you can’t in Reserved Dining, we have reserved the same table/wait staff in the MDR all these years. Once in a while we would dine in one of the specialties restaurants, but most of the time —MDR
  8. Simple question—- Can you request the same table and staff in the Reserve Dining section? We have always done that since our first cruise in 2003 and it makes for a great dining venture, thanks!
  9. I agree with BamaVol, if you can't get anywhere with a customer service rep; hang up, wait a few minutes and dial again; you may get a rep that knows what he/she is doing. I had trouble with my Medallion App on the phone, two different customer service reps said, "the app on the phone will only work after final payment"! What? I then did a chat session, and that rep told me that's not correct, he put in a service ticket and in 24 hours, the app was working. So if you get an incompetent rep, hang up and dial again.
  10. Cannot reserve anything on the Sanctuary before hand; has to be done when on board.
  11. Sometimes the elevator doesn't go to the top floor! 😄
  12. This is worse than a "chartered cruise"; at least with a chartered cruise, you would know ahead of time and can seek another cruise if you want.
  13. Just ensure that it is NOT a surge protector!
  14. Can you provide more detail regarding "a very large group booked"? ( A graduating class, a large family, a baseball team, etc.)
  15. We always prefer to have the same staff at dinner; they would know our dining preferences; what I can eat, what I can't eat and, it just makes for a great one-on-one situation. You get to know the staff and they get to know you. If we can't reserve the same table each night, then it's off to the MDR which is no biggy; we've done that for all of our cruises and it was great!
  16. Here is my opinion on the issue of automatic gratuities, (or crew appreciation, whatever)--- We consider the automatic gratuities a starting point and never remove them. If a crew member, doesn't do his/her job, or has an attitude; that now becomes the ending point. If a crew member, does an outstanding job, makes our cruise very memorable, [which has always happen on Princess], we provide an extra gratuity in a little white envelope at the end of the cruise. IMHO!
  17. Good Morning Rick&Jeannie; Question: Can you still request the same table (for two) in the MDR Reserve Section? Since 2003, we're always have done this and have been successful! Thanks.

  19. Latest review of "steps per day"; 10,000 is old school, new research indicates that 6,000 is the new norm and has benefits!
  20. So all this if you are cruising in a Reserve Collection Mini-Suite? I know there are several categories of "suites".
  21. Princess staff is fantastic for completing any request within reason. As for an extra chair on the balcony--if there is ample room on the balcony, they will get one for you, Happy Cruising!
