  1. The only ones that can move up are the ones that are in the platinum person's cabin. FTTF boards early but still after platinum. If everyone must board together then the platinum person can come sit with you guys after they check in and board with y'all with whatever boarding priority number you have.

  2. They do it at the place we stay at in Myrtle Beach too. They reach over the fence and place their towels or whatever on the lounge chairs that are along the fence line. When the pool opens at 9am every single chair is already reserved.

  3. You check in right by Alchemy on deck 5. If tables are available they hand you a slip of paper and off you go straight to the dining room to be seated. Our party of between 6 and 8 never had any trouble being seated right away so we were never handed a pager. We went down each night between 6 and 615. Hope this helps.

  4. The last time we were there you could rent gear and a vest. It's very easy for beginners off the beach. The further you go out the more coral there is and the more experienced you need to be. The coral comes up almost to the water level in spots so you need to pay attention. There is plenty to see though without going out real far. Tons of beautiful fish and coral to see. I would rate the snorkeling there as A+++.

  5. The upsell fairy has been working overtime on that cruise! We are doing the same cruise and last week we got a call as well. We went from a balcony to an ocean suite for $300. I know lots of people in both the roll call here on CC plus the group on social media that I am in have gotten calls from the upsell fairy, which is awesome considering it was a sold out cruise! The theory is that perhaps lots of people had to cancel in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, so in turn lots of rooms opened up. Doesn't really matter the reason why, I am just thrilled we got a call too!

Enjoy your suite and have a great cruise!

  6. It sure took awhile but was it ever a very nice offer. We sail on Oct 28th, 8 days out of Norfolk, and originally had an ocean view on Riviera deck. The offer was to move up to a Spa balcony for $100 total for the cabin. It was a no brainer so now we are on deck 12. They also upgraded our daughter from an inside on Riviera to an inside on Lido for free. Thanks Carnival!!

  7. We sail on Sunshine to Canada on October 8. I know it's all about the safety but we have been looking forward to this for so long. I hope we still get to go!

All the models and meteorologist have Matthew turning east and looping back south prior to getting up to Virginia. A cruise leaving New York heading north to Canada will not be affected. Have a great cruise.
