  1. I frequently hear β€œmy TA makes all of my phone calls to RC for me and checks on reduced rates”… I’m going to need more than that. Those simple things I do myself. I also hear about long waits on the phone, 30 plus cruises and I’ve never had these long waits. Now, if there’s an incentive to book with a TA, that’s what may make me want to do that. Otherwise, for me, I see no point.
  2. A friend recommended her TA that she uses to book all of her cruises. In the last 3 weeks I booked 4 cruises. 2 on RC website and 2 with this TA. My price was the same as the website for the 2 bookings with this TA…no perks…no OBC.. nothing. I’m wondering why she uses a TA at all and thinking this is the last time I will. I see no benefit.
  3. I recently booked 3 cruises with a TA that a friend recommended, she books all of her cruises through him. My price was exactly the same as what’s online. No OBC, no perks whatsoever. I’m wondering why she uses him and am thinking that’s the last time I will.
  4. That’s exactly what I’m afraid off. If memory serves, I only get $100 OBC to book onboard. I save way more than that with the sale price.
  5. Looking to book another and wondering if I should wait until I get on the Oasis in September?
  6. Eventually it has to stop sometime. Every few months they are working more and more towards that. Hopefully by next year all cruise lines and all ports get back to some normalcy and they drop ALL of these requirements…testing and vaccination.
  7. My hope hinges on the one line on this update that says …we’re transitioning to a point we’re EVERYONE can vacation with us…that to me gives me hope that eventually the vaccination and the testing requirement will be dropped all together.
  8. I love where RC slipped in they are transitioning to allow EVERYONE to vacation with them. To me that means even the unvaccinated with not a lot of hurdles to jump to make it happen. My fingers are crossed the update they put out the first week of August with the updated policies reflects this. And I’m hoping ALL of the major cruise lines follow suite….especially Carnival as I’m looking to book a Sunshine cruise in March and take my unvaccinated granddaughters. Fingers crossed!
  9. This is great news! I hope all major cruise lines start the same protocol soon!
  10. Has anyone done this Tuscany food trip from Rome? https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g187791-d11449805-Tuscany_Day_Trip_from_Rome_including_3_Course_Lunch_and_Wine_Tasting-Rome_Lazio.html
  11. I’ve read and read and cannot find anything that refers to those in the party who chose to continue on with their cruise.
  12. I agree, or hope..😊. When it comes to Covid some things have changed and policies that were normally in place now vary. So, we shall see.
  13. Has this happened to you? Did you book a cruise with a shared cabin and your cabin mate test positive and you continued on with your cruise?
  14. good advice. I'm so tired of this covid stuff. πŸ˜’
  15. Hopefully, come September, there will be no more testing. Or, if there is, my friend will test negative and I won't be the one on here posting my experience! 🀣
  16. That poster has the same question as I have. But no one has actually been in the situation and posted the experience. All of the response posts were purely speculation and opinion.
  17. I'm dying laughing!!! But, I agree with him/her....I agree with everything he/she said about the butler.
  18. I just wish she hadn't even had mentioned it!πŸ˜„All of this covid nonsense is stressful enough! πŸ™ƒ
  19. Obviously the person who tests positive cannot cruise. The cruise doesn't cancel for other passengers who do not test positive.
  20. Yes, I read that already. That is assurance to the person who tests positive that they will receive a refund for their cruise. Doesn't say anything about the party members who are still going to continue with their planned vacation.
  21. I'm hoping this has happened to someone on here. Although I know it's a rare situation.
  22. Is this your guess or do you know for certain RC's policy on one cabin guest testing positive for covid days before the cruise. Covid policies are different than their standard policies.
  23. Driving and meeting at the port. I hope she doesn't catch covid on the 10 day. But, if she does, I still want to cruise. I'm just trying to figure out what will happen in such a situation since I still want to cruise.
