Has anyone used their dry cleaning service?

Thank you Jeremiah, I will try to keep an open mind and hopefully it will turn out to be a positive experience.

My husband and I have a cruise booked to Europe next year and it will be our first cruise since covid. We are elite Captain’s Club members, loyal to celebrity (until now) and have almost always booked another cruise before debarking. I was excited to get back to cruising, until now. With every day that passes and as I read new comments regarding food, vaping, and changes being made by Corporate without notification to the customers it affects, I am becoming more disillusioned and less excited about our cruise. If we have to eat in specialty restaurants regularly and have lunch in port to avoid the substandard food and presentation in the restaurant (which we are paying for), I am sorry to say that this will be our last Celebrity cruise. I am surprised that Celebrity seems unaware that younger cruisers expect quality and healthier food choices, not a piece of meat and a scoop of mashed potatoes thrown on their plate, the same as experienced cruisers. Very short sighted.

Years ago (before covid), I had an experience with Celebrity regarding a shore excursion. Like you, I purchased it many months in advance. Right before our cruise, I received an email from Celebrity letting us know that the early morning time of our excursion was cancelled and they rescheduled us for later in the day, We were disappointed but assumed it was beyond Celebrity’s control. During our cruise, we were surprised to discover that our original time slot was not cancelled but fully booked. We were not happy as we much preferred the earlier time and planned our day around it. We went to the concierge, she apologized, said it was unacceptable and within a few hours rescheduled us for our original time. Like other people have said on this board, it wasn’t the change that upset us as much as Celebrity lying to us.

Does anyone know if there are taxis waiting at the port?

Is the early show in the theater on the Constellation at 7PM? Approximately how long are the shows?

We are docking in Ravenna at 6AM and will be the only ship docking that day. If we are one of the first groups to disembark (we do no want to carry our luggage from our room), is 8AM a realistic time to be picked up by our driver?

If we have a promotion with an OBC, and a new promotion offers us a better price with less OBC, do we have to cancel and rebook to take advantage of the new offer?

They seem to be having real issues with the shore excursions pricing. It is very frustrating and time consuming. Good luck.

Like you, I was very unhappy with the response of the shore excursion dept. Since I am an elite member, I called the Captain’s Club/Loyalty Club dept. this morning and the gentleman who answered was very helpful. Since this is your 1st Celebrity cruise, I am not sure if they can be of any help, but you can give it a try.

I have been having the same problem with booking shore excursions on my Celebrity cruise. In many instances, the price displayed increases when you click on “reserve”. On the suggestion of customer service, I sent an email to the shore excursion dept. yesterday, with a “screen shot” of the lower price and am waiting for a reply, I wonder how many people are paying higher prices and not aware of it.

On Millenium class ships, you get a slightly larger cabin

We will be tendering into Portofino on a Celebrity cruise on April 25, 2024 (Liberation Day). I see conflicting information on whether shops and restaurants in town will be open or closed on that day. I would appreciate any information or opinions.

My cruise to the Mediterranean is not until next April and I have been looking at Celebrity shore excursions which are ultra expensive to begin with, and noticed today the discounts for booking early have been reduced from 15% to 5%. In my opinion, it certainly not worth it. I have always booked with Celebrity because it was easy, but I feel it is now time to look seriously at private excursions. What next?

Thank you for your input. My concern is that the refurbishment won’t be finished and Celebrity will cancel or modify the cruise, or that work ( and noise) will still be going on during our cruise. The only encouraging thing is that if the article is correct, it does not appear that extensive renovations will be taking place and hopefully all will go as scheduled.

We have booked a Constellation cruise in Europe departing Rome on April 23rd. It appears that a refurbishment will take place on the cruise before ours that will end in Barcelona on April 6th. According to a cruisecritic article, it appears the work being done includes all new carpeting, updated cruise quarters, new jacuzzis in suites and replacement of some galley equipment. I am now wondering if booking this cruise was a mistake. I would appreciate any input.
