  1. VMax1700, I wonder if the problem is that you are in Ireland and I am in the US. I don’t understand why this should make a difference because it is now the 23 of Jan. in both locations and the date inputted is the day of our future visit and not today’s date.

  5. I just entered April 26 and the next screen displayed date of visit: April 25.
  6. We will be in Venice for 2 separate days, so fee applies to us 2x. My problem is when I input either date, the next screen displays the previous day. When I input the first day (April 25) subject to the fee, just to double check (will not be there on that date), the next screen displays date of visit is April 24, which is not a date subject to the fee and asks for travelers info. I am so confused and unfortunately there is not a contact email on this site.

  8. I appreciate your response. I am aware it is only pertains to certain days and unfortunately, my time in Venice falls on those days. My concern is that when I input the days that I will be in Venice, and go to the next screen it changes the date to the day before which is actually not a date that needs registration. Very strange. Wonder if there is a glitch.
  9. The Venice access fee went into effect last week. When I went into their website (cda.ve.it) and input my date of entry on the calendar, it advanced to the next screen where the date displayed was the day prior to the one I requested. The fee was scheduled to begin on April 25 and as a test I inputted this date and on the next screen the 24th was displayed where no registration or fee is required. Has anyone tried using the site yet?
  10. We didn’t have to complain, his voice was loud and was heard by diners and staff alike. To their credit, the staff in the restaurant tried to resolve the situation but he was too far gone. They did remove him, otherwise we definitely would have left. The restaurant was not a specialty restaurant, so no refund to be had.
  11. Years ago, my husband and I were on a Royal Caribbean cruise on Anthem of the Seas having dinner at one of their restaurants and a man sitting at the next table was stone cold drunk. He was verbally abusive to his girl friend as well as the waiters. He tried to engage us in his rants which we uncomfortably ignored. When it became obvious the situation couldn’t be controlled and we were ready to leave without finishing our dinner, he was escorted out of the restaurant by the maitre’d and staff. Thankfully we did not see him for the duration of the cruise.
  12. On my cruise, the sale on shore excursions during Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday was nowhere near 50%. I think it depends on how well a particular excursion is selling on a given cruise. There were better discounts for upgrading the beverage and wifi packages.
  13. Yes you can, you have to cancel the existing reservation and rebook at the lower price. Just confirm there are still spots available and rebook immediately or you could lose your spot. A “flash sale” can happen at any time. I booked excursions during a “flash sale” at the end of August and the price has not come close since, including the “Black Friday” sale.

  15. I thought the current policy was cancellation allowed 48 hours before shore excursion takes place and new policy is cancellation is allowed 48 hours before arrival at port. I think this only affects cruises that stay overnight in a port.
  16. I am holding cabin #1201 on Silouette and believe that this cruise went on sale today. I am holding concierge prime cabin 1201 and just noticed this same class on deck 9 is almost sold out. Is there any reason that deck 10 is less desirable? Does anyone know if the cabin I am holding has the bed near the balcony or bath?
  17. There is a “refresh” of the Constellation scheduled for the beginning of April, 2024. Not sure exactly what will be done, but any improvement is better than nothing.
  18. Will the private welcome lunch be in the dining room but in a different area than the concierge welcome lunch? My next cruise is in a concierge class room and I am aware the welcome lunch is only until 1:30. What if I can’t get a boarding time early enough to be able to attend this lunch? Does this mean that this perk that I paid for will be unavailable to me?

  20. I believe the Constellation will be getting a refurbishment of staterooms in April 2024, not sure about the bathrooms.
  21. I always deferred to Celebrity thinking it was the best of the “mainstream lines, time to consider Princess and Holland America.
  22. What is going on? I just looked at the day 5 menu and it seems to be getting more redundant and so few choices. I have a cruise booked next year and I am seriously considering cancelling. Food is not high on my list when taking a cruise, but I do expect to be able find a main course or two that I find appealing. I prefer chicken (not dry chicken breast) and as it stands now, I would be eating a lot of pasta which is something I do not find acceptable. I am an elite member and have never had a problem in the past. I have booked more specialty restaurants than usual on my cruise but this should be because I want to upgrade my experience, not because I feel this is my only choice for a decent meal. I hope Celebrity reconsiders because in my opinion, this will cost them customers. If they think the new young cruisers will like this menu any more than the older loyal cruisers, they are very mistaken.
