  1. We went in 2018 and are going back this summer. We loved it! We were very fortunate to have practically perfect weather. We went the first week of August. Highs at sea were in the 60s or low 70s, lows in the 40s. In port, the temp was around 80. It did not rain at all when we were in Alaska (unless it was while we were sleeping). It sprinkled a little in Victoria. I will be shocked if we have that kind of weather again, though. Alaska is magnificent. It was cool to see the biodiversity. In school, I never cared much for history but I loved learning about the history of Alaska on our cruise. There was a retired school teacher who gave lectures. For us, it was the opportunity to see and do things we would not normally. I can't wait to go back.
  2. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think so, or the concierge can override it. I know that when we were on Harmony last year we ate most of our dinners in CK and frequently went straight to a show afterwards.
  3. I was on Wonder in early March. We had two "formal" nights. One was night 2, the other was 5 or 6. Lobster was on night 6. Deck 8 is a good spot. Since you are Forward there shouldn't be noise from the public spaces and there are other staterooms above you. There's lots of karaoke and we found that most of the people who participated were really good. I think there are some dance parties, too. We ate at all three of the restaurants you mentioned and really enjoyed them. Have a great time!
  4. Frozen Mojito, Pina Colada, or a Lime & Coconut
  5. You can. About halfway through the cruise there will be an announcement in the cruise compass about booking it. We've also used Cruise Control and they are great.
  6. We were on Wonder the last week of February/first week of March. Voices, the Ice Show (Seasons), and the Aqua show (all female olympic swimmers) were all incredible!
  7. Yes, there are. We were on Wonder in February and they were doing drills. They made several announcements about it.
  8. We had lunch at Giovanni's on Wonder on embarkation day. We loved it! We each got an app, split a pizza, and got dessert.
  9. I've done guaranteed balconies before. The only problem you might run into is having an obstructed view from the life boats.
  10. We are sailing on Quantum on July 31st and there's not one for that date.
  11. My sister-in-law and her husband were on Jewel a couple weeks ago and loved it. They had no issues.
  12. Even though I love a good massage, I stopped getting them on cruises because they are so much more expensive than at home. Also, it is not relaxing to listen to the sale pitch after a massage!
  13. We are sailing on Wonder in 5 weeks. I was able to book shows last week.
  14. I was trying to book that but it won't let me add my husband! It says they are full. So frustrating.
  15. It took me 7 weeks during the 2021 holidays. Hopefully you will hear something soon.
  16. It depends. I made a minimum bid on a Crown Loft Suite earlier this year and got it (about 5 days out). I’ve heard others say they bid $5 over the minimum and got it. I’m sure it depends on bids and availability.
  17. I booked in early November for a late February cruise on Wonder. I am still waiting on my assignment. I have not booked GTYs often, but don't remember having to wait this long in the past.
  18. What is the barcode trick? I have been waiting for an assignment for my February cruise on Wonder for 6 weeks!
