    I was fortunate to visit St. Petersburg in the ‘60's when it was known as Leningrad. I loved the city's architecture and the Hermitage which was my first visit to a major museum. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday! 🎂

    I guess I should have added that I do not find Luminae hard to spell. I also disagree with you about Xcel. No one should be confused, as the Ship's name is “Celebrity Xcel.” Moving on… ☮️

    X is not the only company to use the name Luminae. And they weren’t the first, or only company to use Xcel either.. Google is your friend. 😉

    IMO, nicknames are frequently used because they are easy to spell.

    In my experience, that rarely happens on the same day. Btw, many people like the infinite verandahs.

    Wow… For the past 20 years all of our cruises with X have been in suites, Sky and above, except for 3. Quite frankly we wouldn’t miss not having a Butler because we rarely ever used their services. And as for being excluded from the Retreat and Luminae, considering the price we pay for those “junior"Sky suites, we have paid for the privilege.

    Hardly. I just priced out a new sandwich at a nearby Subway and it came to $ 19.99 plus tax. Of course YMMV.

    Thanks for posting that. 😊 I forgot Luminae is only open for lunch on certain days too.

    We would not. Blu, as well as Luminae, are supposed to be exclusive to guests paying for Aqua class and Retreat (Suite) accommodations. They are not very large venues and many times guests have to wait to be seated for lunch and dinner. Adding additional guests, regardless of paying for the privilege, would just make the situation worse.
