  1. I agree, I half expected the OP to say they require dairy products to be from a particular dairy located on Long Island, New York. 😲
  2. The Carnival Vista Class ships, of which Costa Firenze is one, have automatic handwashing stations in various locations throughout the Lido Dining Room on Deck 10. Is the same true for the Firenze? Thanks
  3. The salmon has been removed from the every night section of the menu. Of course there are some salmon entrees to be had but not every night. On some of our 4 day cruises with Carnival I looked forward to the salmon each evening. It was simply prepared, no frills or sauces, as I like it. There are a few new appetizers I would like to try so I see the BAM! factor 🙂
  4. There seems to be one oversight: they left that tough and gristly beef striploin steak on the "every night" menu. 😲
  5. Good for you. We like having our KTNs for TSA, no more removing shoes and belts, etc.
  6. Jamman54 - We both know if Horn & Hardart was still in business we'd also be seeing some excellent photos of the automat. Then we could see Greg's monkey reaching in a food door for a fresh banana for the price of a nickel. 🙂
  7. One New York Style deli sandwich is a whole meal. When seen this way the price is what I expected in 2023. But I still miss the days of paying $8 for the same "meal." Thanks for the memory and the update.
  8. In 1935 my mom went to nursing school at St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC. She and some classmates toured the statue when visitors were allowed to take the stairs up the right arm and walk outside around the base of the torch. Mom said only about 6-8 people could fit out there and it was scary.
  9. Jamman: You laugh at the memory AND I bet you remember the Schaefer jingle.
  10. For that price I hope it was served to you in the stands like mine was!
  11. In 1974 a Mets Double Header ticket at Shea Stadium set me back $6 and a 16-oz plastic cup of Schaefer beer cost .25 cents. Good times.
  12. Almost, the fountain is on the backlot of Warner Brothers known as Warner Brothers Ranch and it and the house from Bewitched and others will be torn down later this year or early 2024 to make way for new, modern soundstages.
  13. You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain (you're so vain) I bet you think this song is about you Don't you don't you? 🙂
  14. After your depressing experience at lunch with her the irony isn't lost on me that she's showing a photo taken during the dustbowl days of the Great Depression. The picture is best known as "Migrant Mother," a black-and-white photo taken in February or March 1936 by Dorothea Lange of Florence Owens Thompson, then 32, and her children. Lange was traveling through Nipomo, California, taking photographs of migrant farm workers for the Resettlement Administration. The picture in question is a portrait of Florence Owens Thompson with three kids taken in March of 1936 by Dorothea Lange with her 4×5 Graflex camera.
  15. " I'm in a BIG HURRY to give a lecture to a handful of people! "
  16. Obviously she's an Aries: Aries is a fire sign, and they tend to have a short fuse. They are impulsive and easily irritated by things that don't go their way. 🙂
  17. It will be the shortest line you've seen since boarding in Barcelona.
  18. We had fun firing a shotgun at sea. The party ended during Operation Desert Storm and never returned.
