  1. The Jacaranda tree in bloom makes the shot, thank you!
  2. I'll keep this in mind for future reference LOL
  3. Why are you quoting me? It's the OP that asked the question LOL
  4. No, they stopped tux rentals in 2005. Carnival also stopped calling it Formal in 2011 and changed it to Elegant night. They still rent suites though 😉
  5. I know you're joking and while you may have once mentioned U.S. tax law in this matter, I was chatting with AHS who did not quote you. It is her eloquence on the topic I was thanking. Other than 'the bottom line' comment above, what other details about Carnival's business reasoning to have gratuities that can be removed at will can you share. There may be more to this story and I would like to learn. Thank you
  6. This makes the most sense and best explains why Carnival does business this way. This really puts it in perspective and helped. Thanks
  7. If you are assigned to the Vista Dining Room the upper deck port side has tables for two by the glass wall overlooking the lower level. Those tables are good.
  8. Let's hope so and here's to goodbye dark, dark, dark Bacchus Dining Room and here's to a light and bright MDR. Half the time in Bacchus I can't see my spouse across from me at our table. Thanks for sharing the news.
  9. It depends on which ship you're sailing. I was told not all ships can give it as a credit due to the accounting program/system used, e.g. on the Miracle it is cash and on the Panorama it is a credit.
  10. To clarify, the word "spouse" is not used on the invitation. The invitation says " you and a guest."
  11. I hope the OP returns to clarify. What I took from it was adults in Serenity acting like youths.
  12. Trundle bed inside the sofa on Carnival Radiance.
  13. The steak sandwiches were popular. The burger place also served an afternoon make your own ice cream sundae event one day on 7 day or more cruises. The hard ice cream was scooped to order with a choice of 3 flavors and toppings were self-serve with a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional toppings. Gummi Bears were a topping, who knew, but it was a fun event usually served at 3pm and was popular.
