  1. I clicked to erase all notifications. When I went to the forums, I noticed that the most recent threads were no longer bolded nor were many forums, e.g. cruiselines except for Celebrity, HAL and NCL. Also the ability to "go to first unread" had vanished. Please help me return to "normal"!
  2. Now at 737. 3 from this month to be added in November. Would love a couple more 5 pointers before the end of the year!
  3. I get texts often from Celebrity, but don't recall any $100 OBC offer for signing up for them....
  4. Perhaps do some excursions or have lunch aboard the ship together. Dinner in a specialty restaurant with them is another option. Invite them to your cabin for pre-dinner drinks.
  5. Probably a good idea to keep your valuables with you rather than leave them at the dock. Things like laptops and cameras are not worth losing either by accident or possible theft. And keeping your medications with you is a must! So a small backpack or roll aboard would work well, especially since you can drop it in your cabin first thing. And don't forget that your allotted 2 bottles of wine are better off with you than in your checked luggage.
  6. So far no Paxlovid rebound for me- I finished the 5 day course Wed a.m. Due to the risks involved in taking Paxlovid, I cannot imagine it being dispensed aboard. Before I was given a prescription, my medical records were thoroughly reviewed by my PCP's nurse. Due to my unique needs, my Paxlovid regimen was just 2 pills at a time and I had to discontinue my anti-cholesterol meds during the course.
  7. We are going to try 6241 on our upcoming Silhouette cruise. We've been in 6240 on the Solstice and weren't bothered by the small boat below but it had bed by veranda and we prefer the other arrangement. We've also been in a couple of 2C cabins on S-class ships toward the stern that have larger rectangular verandas that extend over the blue roof on Deck 5. We've also been in a 2B cabin on Deck 6 starboard midship but folks gathered on the deck below in the evenings. I imagine those cabins would be worse on the port side since the smoking area is directly below them!
  8. Since we are going perkless on the Silhouette we will miss our morning Java at Cafe al Bacio unless we charge our morning coffees OR enjoy them gratis with Elite Plus status.
  9. Will gladly watch and the 3 CC points will leave me just 10 shy of Elite Plus. Desperately seeking those in time for our end of February cruise so as to enjoy Cafe al Bacio!
  10. Had to take a test to cruise r/t from Seattle to Alaska in September 2021. Wanted to DIY test the last night of that cruise before we stayed with health-compromised family members in Portland. Asked to test @Christmastime by Chicago SiL after learning I'd been exposed to the virus. Tested when DH had covid in April. Nada for me. Tested myself on 9/28 after feeling wonky- negative. Tested again on 9/30 after feeling far worse than wonky; clearly positive so contacted PCP's office and had a video consult with her nurse who arranged for Paxlovid. Been fever-free after the first dose and regained my vim/vigor the next day. Feeling good ever since. Volunteered to test myself again this afternoon with hopefully negative results so that I can attend book group tonight!
  11. You never know when you might want to test for covid regardless of the circumstances. Taking the swab will help make the correct health choices for yourself and others.
