We let the cruise line put the recommended tips on. Then if we have special service from whoever, then we give them the cash in the envelope at the end. Not sure if they have to share those.

I always check to see what promotion is always going on before final payment. I just got another perk and price lowered so it is always good to check to see if it works to your advantage.

So what is the correct way? Fire extinguisher and that is it? I couldn't bring the video up well.

I am surprised that fog is affecting the cruise ships. When we went to Canada on our cruise this past summer, we had full days when we couldn't even hardly see the Carnival tail. Fog horn every two minutes.

We have family that live in the suburbs of N.O. and I was told that you don't want to be around some of those empty neighborhoods at night. One relative has been working on replacing the dykes (sp?). That is a many years project.

Yipppeee Is it a longer cruise and where are you going?

Over the years since we started cruising, it has really become more casual. Our first couple years we wore formals (which I thought was fun). Now I just wear a dressy dress. Husband doesn't do a jacket any more.

We are also staying at Gallery One Doubletree. Looks the nicest and best price. Anyway, we will be there two nights before the cruise and one after the cruise. We are coming in and out on Amtrak. How far would you guess it would be from the Amtrak to the hotel and then from hotel to cruise terminal? (Can always google map it but they don't tell you if it is busy roads).

Oh What is that small building in front of the lighthouse that looks like it doesn't have a roof? Also, can you go in the lighthouse and to the top?
