Hi, going on the Anthem on May 14th. Was wondering what most do for parking? We are driving there. So far I see that parking at the pier is $20. Any suggestions?
Just clarifying that you know it's $20/day. Not $20 total.

One more thing, is the snorkeling at Cinnamon as good as at Trunk? Snorkeling is more important to us than the time spent on land.
Thank you!!!!

Ugh, I was afraid that would be the answer. The ship's excursion seems so much easier (ferry right from where we dock) than a cab to Red Hook.
We're arriving on Anthem of the seas. Any problems/delays getting to red hook from where Anthem docks? If we arrive at 8, would it be reasonable to think we can catch the 9 AM Ferry? Is there any guarantee the ferry will have enough room for all who shows up?
Thanks for advice on return trip. We'd def want to play it safe, so 2 pm sounds like the way to go. What time should we start looking for a cab back to the ferry?

Will Trunk Bay be enjoyable with 5 ships in port in St Thomas?
We plan to take Royal Caribbean's excursion that is basically a ferry to St John and then you're on your own. I'm concerned because the excursion start time is 10 AM, and with 5 ships in port, will Trunk Bay be packed by the time we get there? Are we better off NOT taking Royal Caribbean's excursion/ferry, and instead cabbing it to Red Hook as soon as we dock (8 AM)?
TIA

It is $7.95 per device and you don't need to purchase the Internet package.
The communication package used to be $14.95 per device on Quantum and on Anthem. Each person you want to communicate with on board needs to make the purchase.
So Anthem and Quantum are now both $7.95 per device too, they've done away with $14.95?
Perfect, thanks

It's $7.95 for the entire sailing and currently using it to call and text friends on board.

Is the Royal IQ communication app $7.95/device or $14.95/ device? I've seen it reported both ways.
Perhaps it's less if you also purchase an Internet package, and more without Internet?

That, sir, is truly an a$$
I'm sorry things didn't go as planned but it looks like you still managed to have an awesome day!

I hope all went well with the deviant vendor today! Looks like you made it to the beach afterwards. What beach was that?

Update: couldn't get the Royal IQ on either of our old iPhone 4. Darn. But, I think it's more an issue that the phones are so outdated and not working.
I forgot the reason I upgraded was because my iPhone 4 kept turning itself off. And my daughter's old 4 was only a 8 gb so not enough room to update the iOS (the current system is too old for Royal IQ.)
I have one remaining hope... To load Royal IQ on DH's old iPhone 5. I can't remember his iTunes password as that phone is linked to his work email, so it'll have to wait until the weekend when he has time to help me.
If that works, will give the inactivated iPhone 5 to my 9 year old when she's in Adventure Ocean, so she can text to say she's done & wants to be sprung. We don't want her signing herself out and walking around the ship alone.
My 13 year old will have to use her real phone for the Royal IQ app and we'll be having a talk about the importance of leaving it in airplane mode with cellular data off, as well as not losing the phone!

Another thing we noticed is that when we gave cash with the SeaPass card, we never had to sign a receipt. This was on Vision and may vary ship to ship.
Does this mean they didn't swipe your card when tipping up front?

I've haven't seen any but we've only eaten there once in the evening this cruise and once last. I will check specifically for that over the next few days and report back here if I do find that available.
Much appreciated!

I have an email in to our TA to see if any additional confirmation can be found. I'm thinking now we should get 1 package now at the discounted rate and wait for the other. We have enough OBC to get 1 premium package at the discounted rate to it really makes no difference if we get one of the two now.
Makes sense to pull the trigger on one package now. Maybe even both, with a plan to cancel one package prior to sailing if in fact the promotion is still running the week before you sail (rebook on board with obc.). By then, you should have feedback from other sailings as to whether the 20% off is being offered on board too.
Other idea...maybe don't pre-pay your gratuities, then use obc to pay for gratuities (instead of the drink package.).

Right, you can only "Supervise" the same amount as non related minors as there are related minors. So 1 teen of your own allows you 1 friend. You will have to book one parent with your teen and a friend, and one parent with the other .
Agree with this. You must have one adult assigned to each cabin, because you have 2 unrelated minors traveling with you.
Now, if all three minors were your own children, it would be no problem booking the kids together directly across the hall.
Read this thread. Some of it doesn't apply to your situation, but enough does to be a cautionary tale. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1635089&highlight=denied

I'm not so sure...[emoji6]

Yesterday, my Anthem sailing had all 3 alcohol packages 20% off. Today, only 2 of them are 20% off.
Not sure I believe the promotion will be available through to December 8th (though I'm sure that's what you were told.).

Inside to a suite? No.
Perhaps inside to an OV...maybe even a balcony.
If RCL bumps you from inside to suite, they make 1 person happy. But, if they bump you to an OV, an OV to a balcony, a balcony to a JS, and a JS to a full suite, then they make 4 people happy.
Makes more sense for a company to make 4 people happy, instead of 1.

Today was a week since I initiated my request, and I've yet to receive confirmation. The day after I sent the email, I received a reply that my request was being forwarded to the ship. But nothing since.

And.... They dropped the select package from the 20% discount on Anthem 4/8. Currently, only the premium and ultimate packages are 20% off.

I thought the Replenish package included frozen mocktails. It doesn't????

Many people spend a lot of money not only on the cruise itself, but on flights, hotels, cruise tours, etc. Yet, judging from the posts I see on here, the most cause for concern are the prices of beverage packages. Which, by and large, are for those interested in alcoholic beverages - which do nothing for you really. Surely I can't be the only one that finds loads of humor and stupidity in this..
People are excited to save money, period. Doesn't really matter whether it's on alcohol or on some other aspect of the cruise.
If any of the items you listed (cruise fare, flights, hotel, tours) were to go on sale 20%+ off, I think you'd find equal concern to what you're seeing here about beverage packages.
No humor or stupidity in saving money.

Would it be so hard to just say , drink package sale on cruise x and y on these dates ... Maybe there just trying to drive more traffic to there web site by making us all go look for our selfs

Perhaps RCL isn't advertising the price drops more, to avoid tipping off guests that have already booked at full price and would cancel then rebook if they knew about the sale?
Only those guests who are looking for information about the packages (and those on CC) will happen upon the discount, and the added incentive of 20% off might be the incentive they need to purchase.

Does the Windjammer have a sushi area in the evenings?

The app should work fine on a deactivated phone. However, the app has to be downloaded, so I would assume some sort account is needed for the download site.
Didn't think of that! Our old iPhone 4's are dead right now so I can't check whether I can access the App Store or not. I'll have to hope my kids know where the old chargers are tomorrow. Forgot our current charges don't fit the iphone4.
So the assumption is if I can download the IQ app at home over Wi-Fi, we should be able to use it to text on board?
Thanks!

You pay any excess over the pre-gratuity price of $12.
Are any of the martinis on the menu more expensive than $12?

Trunk Bay with 5 ships in St Thomas?
in St. Thomas/St. John

Thank you blue_water, your advice is very appreciated. It truly sounds like Red Hook is the best option if we have our hearts set on STJ.
Is Sapphire as beautiful/peaceful/tranquil as Trunk?
