  1. Like you we love to try out the speciality restaurants on any ship. It's part of our holiday. As I said we didn't particularly like Ventura anyway and the Glass House was our favourite go to. I know they say operational reasons but does anyone think they known what this means? Also how long is this for? Will give my friends the heads up.
  2. That's really surprised me. Friends are giving Ventura a go on the basis they have some of these special dining areas to try out. Personally we didn't like Ventura and it would be a reason to cancel for us if this is long term.
  3. Good grief. We've stayed in aft cabins on Celebrity Silhouette and had F729, F728 and an E deck one on Britannia and though we have had some issues with spots on both ships we've never had it as bad as your photos appear to show above. We normally take a small cloth to give everything a wipe down just incase and sometimes the weather conditions have made things slightly worse and a pair of flip flops for the balcony. I know you shouldn't necessarily have to but we read tips on CC and it helped massively. Out of interest did they clean your balcony down for you at all? In June 2023 on Britannia it wasn't cleaned once though in the Caribbean they did give it a hose down some days and kept the floor clean. It definitely seemed worse when the ship had been going flat out on a sea day or over night or the weather been bad. I know they have put the canopies over but I think that the suites and cabins further down will always be affected as they are on her sister ships owned by Princess. We have sailed on her before and after the canopies and from our experience it hasn't made a difference lower down at all. It's the same with the Silhouette and her sister ships on Celebrity.. last we heard it was still an issue there too. They used to hose the balcony daily .. though that was before the pandemic and cuts that have followed.
  4. Does that relate to hotels as well as ships out of interest if you've paid in full and for some reason have to cancel?
  5. We've sailed on Azura and Celebrity Constellation Infinity's sister ship. Without repeating much of what has been said already if given a choice we would prefer to sail on Azura. We weren't keen on the Constellation at all. Now if it was the Silhouette or Edge that would be a different matter..... if money was not an issue of course!
  6. That's what surprised us. Thanks for the dates above. Will message re what out TA.says when we hear from them.
  7. We have just had a communication from our UK TA that the Celebrity 2026 and 2027 itineraries are coming soon. We thought this was very early Celebrity who we thought normally waited until November time. Has anyone else in the UK heard the same news.as us?
  8. What are gratuities now? Have lost track. Thanks so much for your help folks
  9. Ah thanks. That sounds better ☺️
  10. Per person am guessing. Feel like we've lost touch with the pricing for the speciality restaurants at the moment. It seems quite expensive but probably no more so relatively than what we paid in previous cruises
  11. Been a while since we were on Edge. What cost are we talking about for a 3 or 5 night speciality dining package? Thanks
  12. You are fortunate. The ones we have tried seem to know less than us when it comes to booking or are half soaked....
  13. OK it you have a good TA. It's the opposite for us so we prefer to book direct for PO and Celebrity
  14. We got a really good deal last year for a Caribbean cruise - good discount, extra onboard spend and a low deposit. We.dont tend to use a TA as we've had some bad experiences with ours in the past bit we were happy with the outcome. May have to cancel it sadly but at least the deposit was very low it we do .......
  15. Sorry just seen this .. teach me not reading all the thread. Their loss as we may just cancel and go with another cruise line 2026 if we are not tied to them.
  16. Saldy we are probably having to cancel our cruise in January 2025. It says we can only move it to a cruise before January 26. We can't find one we can do or really want to do before that and ha e other holidays booked for 2025. Is it worth us asking if we can move to one in 2026 as we've seen a number of fly cruises we really fancy....... Or is it wishful thinking ????
  17. I'd still ask for clarification... better be safe than sorry. You can only.regrer not asking them....
  18. Tbh I'd email them and ask them to put it in writing what they cover. Don't trust insurance companies one bit and think they will do anything they can to get out of paying. The more evidence you have, the better should you need to claim.
  19. Would you recommend this cruise .... Off topic sorry but it's either this or we lose a deposit and book nothing ...
  20. Ps another email to PO beckons ....... Will let you know what they say
  21. We have done ski breaks in Lapland many times in Finnish Lapland in February which is above the arctic circle and know that on some rare occasions they have minimum snow early December. That is rare though and Santa season over there so is very unusual as it is their main tourist time. Have looked at weather sites and can't see why they would not operate in Dec that high up in Norway.
  22. Tbh I just thought it had to of equal or greater value so of it was Saver or select, it didn't matter. I'm not expert though as this post shows .
  23. We are currently looking at a cruise on Aurora first 2 weeks of December 2025 to Norway. One of the main reasons to go would be to do the snow based excursions like the huskies etc etc. Have just seen a note saying that in the Autumn you can not do the snow based excursions. Sounds silly but think I am right that the meteorological winter starts Dec 1st .. though I always think of it as the 21st December winter solstice. Not sure which PO use ! Has anyone been on a cruise like this in December and were you allowed to do the snow activities? If not back to the drawing board ...
  24. We've purchased all of our excursions too so will be cancelling them before we cancel the whole thing to make sure we get the money back. We probably would anyway but prefer to sort them out. Your package above looks very complicated! Let us know how you go on.
  25. Many thanks for your help. Makes it easier as the cruises we were looking at were all lower than the 6k. Just another question... does the new cruise have to been within 12 months of the old one ?
