  1. Yes flying in and out on the departure and return dates can be stressful. We no longer do that, we’ve been delayed too many times. Our “best” delay was in port Miami when Customs seized the ship when dogs found pot in a passenger’s bag. We had a late afternoon flight, but the ship was held for hours. We missed our flight but got to spend the night in South Beach after hustling to find a hotel in March.
  2. Does the move up bidding open 30 days from your cruise date? I thought I read that in the site? thanks for your feedback!
  3. Yes same here with the salt!
  4. That was a question we had. We booked the 75% 2nd passenger fare, free classic drink pkg, basic WiFi. So the current promo would prevail… We’ve since upgraded to the premium drink package during the mid-year sale. Would that be affected?
  5. Question - the move-up option is initiated by an email from Celebrity? You cannot start the process on your own? And is this an option only after you’ve made your final payment? Or within 30 days of your cruise date? Thanks!
  6. Sorry if I missed this, can we order an Irish coffee (with Jameson) at bars? Or just the cafe and dining rooms? Thanks!
  7. @jelayne mentioned she did see pre-cooked burgers in the buffet… Regarding the unwarranted “advice” and snide comments, that is quite common in these forums…Take them with a grain of salt…but leave some salt on your margarita glass rim! 😉 Enjoy!
  8. Looking for general feedback…Doesn’t take much to oblige… Ask a simple question…🤷🏼
  9. Yes that doesn’t sound like us! we’re in Concierge Class so we’ll likely take advantage of one of the few perks by hanging in the waiting area until called… thanks!
  10. Good point. As first time Celebrity cruisers, I gather there is an alternative option of walking off early with your luggage?
  11. At least from our experience when we stayed next to Baha Mar on Cable last May, that is correct. One other source that I find useful for many cruise ship ports is CC’s sister site, TripAdvisor. Check that for any more recent developments. There was a public beach access next to the closed Bob Marley property, but there were no amenities then… On the “New Providence Island” forum on TA, “ScubaJC” and “Dusty-Traveler” are very helpful…
  12. Yes thanks…we always look at the full price since taxes and fees are quite high, and I’m sure our friends will use one of the parking services at the port.
  13. We have options within a short drive of the port, just comparing the options - e.g. pools, neighborhoods, etc. One recommended condo was a great option but no availability…We’ll book something soon and then look at options again once VT posts their rates…
  14. Other suggestions for VG? Or something other than VG? If the latter, are you looking for a Beach day? Snorkeling or just limi ? Cat sail or island tour?
  15. Oh it sounds familiar but not sure - will check it out!
  16. I started looking at Deerfield Beach hotels, but it is north of FLL and the cruise port, correct?
  17. We’ve used Kenny’s when staying on land vacations, any experience renting near cruise port (or with an outfit that delivers/picks-up near the cruise port)?
  18. We are in port 7 - 5 next April with just one other small ship (so far), and we’re looking at beaches that offer lunch and lounges. We’ve enjoyed Friar’s, Dawn, Orient and others on past land vacations and cruises. But we’ll also be heading to Maho Bay so friends who have not been here can hit Sunset Bar and see a plane or two. I will check the flight schedules to plan our itinerary around… What is your favorite beach to relax at? Not interested in Great Bay, and not looking for a busy vibe, but we do want lunch and lounges…Not sure if we will taxi or rent a car until we decide on an itinerary…
  19. We looked into the various water taxi options as a faster transportation alternative, but still not enough time to squeeze that in for you as reedprincess noted. If someone else is looking for a water taxi option, Nio Rose would have been our choice if we hadn’t changed our plans…
  20. Ok, I would suggest contacting Arnold at AC’s Taxi. He has a great outfit and provides private tours with stops at more local spots for views, etc. www.bvitourism.com info-res.com You can also try a shared tour for a lower price, these are available when you arrive, but I would feel better pre-arranging a private tour.
  21. Are you thinking a nice island tour with a lunch at a local spot? A private tour is a more personal excursion and is a great option. Or something more adventurous like a cat sail?
