On every B2B that we have done we have received champagne and fruit in our cabin at the start of the 2nd leg. Latest was on Miracle in October.

I also did a Miracle 3 day/ 4 day B2B in October 2021.  They offered OJ or Mimosa in the lobby and the free photos of the B2B’ers. This was my first B2B.

    I’m doing a Royal B2B in May … we’ll see ( I’m Diamond if that matters??).

So if they clean early in the day, is there no turndown at night?

I can only base my experiences on the 2 cruises we’ve taken since September. Yes, we received turndown each night. IDK why.

I did not request it, but as I stated, I did request a refresh on the ice bucket. So ‘maybe’ the Room Attendant went a bit extra and made our beds comfy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was a nice surprise 💛.

I can live with the $100 per day (yes there are 2 of us) but would just like to know the amount for sure before we book.  It's kind of a chicken and egg scenario.  I guess there is no way to lock in one of the sale prices before or while booking either?

      Hi,

Go online to their website. Log In.  Click Beverage Packages, click the one you want and you will see the price you’ll pay.

  4. We had morning service in September, and I chose morning for my Halloween cruise. Both cruises my Room Attendant asked if we needed more towels or ice in the evening to let him know.  So,  I requested fresh ice each evening, and it was always there. I don’t need a room cleaned twice, towels are good,  so once a day service has been just fine. 🙂🙂

  5. Hi,

Well, I got my very first phone call for an upsell. We cruise in about a month on the Panorama.  I had booked our normal Balcony on Deck 7.   Booked that back in March 2020 … so part of Covid Rebooking …

I went ahead and took the offer for a Havana Premium Corner Aft for $500 total (Deck 8, Starboard side — the side of the ship I book anyway).  We have twice stayed in an Aft Wrap and loved it!  Bonus with the Havana Access, which we wanted to book in the future.

     Very happy  😁😁

  6. I haven’t been able to get on today. I started around 10:00am. Checking throughout the day. Tried again at 5:30pm … still can’t sign in. A banner directs me to call ☎️. No thanks! 😁🤣

This afternoon it took just shy of a full hour (I timed it) to get a Rep to pick up the phone. Thankfully, my issue was solved over the phone.

I’ll try later on tonight ….

Carnival radiance? Rcl wouldnt give double pts for cruises on carnival. ..maybe I'm confused

Oh brother …. I am going back ‘n forth each evening between RCCL & Carnival Forums. No Firefly you aren’t the one confused! Sorry guys …

We are on the Liberty of the Seas this September. This cruise is a rebook of a cruise I made in mid 2021.
But, then at the end of ‘21 decided against Florida & Oasis,  switched  to Liberty out of Galveston .

Since the original cruise was made before September ‘21, do we get the Double Points?

  8. Hi,

This is news to me, good news I hope. I am Diamond already.

But, just to verify.  I already booked a B2B on the Radiance in May. I will be receiving double points?

My husband and I also have a 7 day on the Valor this Fall.

RCCL will automatically double points after I/we have sailed, correct?

      Thank you,

      🛳🛳

  9. My opinion, since ya asked. Do the less expensive cruise. Because of the obvious … $2,000 can go towards another cruise ! 😄😄

We’ve only gone on 1 Alaskan cruise, Serenade of the Seas/ RCI.   We flew from LAX, spent  a couple days in Vancouver B.C., took this wonderful train to Whistler for 2 days, then came back on the same train for our 7 day cruise. One of the BEST family vacations! All it was incredibly beautiful. 🏔🛳💙

  10. Hi,

I have already bought everything we need/want for our cruise next month on the Panorama. End of March cruise.

Rather than cancel & repurchase items or excursions. I thought I might play in the Casino with my OBC (didn’t even know we had it, but there it is online—my Planner).   I am a bit confused that it says I need to use it “pre-cruise”??

Anyone else receive this kind of OBC? What did you do?

    Thanks!

My first thought is crew being quarantined before boarding ships, not sick/positive tested people.  BTW, it's what they've been doing with crew all along.  Who exactly would be quarantining patients in hotels?  People are self-quarantining when necessary.  From all reports of those that have been tested positive  are free to travel in the US, but are expected to use precautions.   I think people need to take a step back and realize this post is probably completely incorrect in its assumption.

Having a block of rooms set up that way would require some kind of prior reservation, which makes sense for the cruise lines crews.

      Hi,

      I know it’s a Royal Forum, but …
Prior to starting his new Contract back in October ‘21,  our son was quarantined for 7 full days on his ship (Carnival employee) . A balcony cabin. Then, he decided that after being on the Fun Squad since January 2017, he opted for now, to say bye to “Ship Life”.

After he left in December, some of his friends (who tested positive) were quarantined onboard and as a back up at a local hotel.  He was out of Los Angeles.
I’m guessing that RCCL is pretty similar. Hopefully, employees of all cruise lines are staying healthy.

My personal opinion is that vaccinated guests, wearing masks indoors greatly contribute to the health of the on ship employees.  Our sons Contract was 7 months, no days off, thousands of new guests each week.

Is test really free in Calif? According to https://covid19.ca.gov/get-tested/#cost-for-testing, " An insured person can get a COVID-19 testPDF when needed by any provider, in or out of their health plan network, at no cost. If you’re uninsured, the government pays for your test.".

Seems to me, the test is not free unless your doctor told you to get one.

My family of (3) have been tested quite frequently. My hubby is in a band and has been exposed to the virus via gigs.  None of us has gone to Kaiser to get a referral. We just go online and make an appointment with CVS.

There is an option (when making the appointment) to send a photo of the back & front of your health insurance card. Which we do every time. Once there no one has asked to see our health card. We do need ID & the Reservation Number.

We live here in a suburb of Pasadena, CA. What I’ve written is my personal test experiences.   Yes, as you posted anyone can get a Covid Test for FREE by their Provider ….

You took the "rapid antigen" test with results in less than 2 hours, and you didn't get your results for 2 days? Did she tell you the test was negative & you just did't get the email for 2 days?

    What day was.your cruise?

☺️☺️  Oops … now that doesn’t make sense does it??   My apologies for the error. It took 2 HOURS to get the test results via my email.

I did the test because my hubby was around someone who tested positive.  Myself, hubby & son are all negative .

How much do they charge for results so quickly?

I have Kaiser, so it’s free. I just did my 1st antigen (quick test) last Sunday. I received the negative result Tuesday morning. The CVS nurse/employee told me results are taking 1-2 days now.
Aren’t ALL tests Free now? Maybe go to the official California Covid/CDC page?

P.S.  Just did a quick look. YES, all (antigen & PCR) tests are free for insured AND uninsured (the Govt picks up the tab for uninsured).

  15. I have my CDC Booster shot now included on my CDC Covid info. I saved it on my phone, email & printed a copy. At 64 , I do a mixture of tech & old school, just makes me feel like I’m covered. Our son … everything’s the on his phone .. bills, medical insurance .. etc. That would freak me out to not have a paperback up! 😁

I just upgraded our 2/2/2022 Oasis Spacious oceanview balcony stateroom on board the ship, right when we departed, to a Junior Suite. I paid an $800.00 upgrade fee. The guest services person said that we would receive the "C&A points" for booking a suite. C&A refused to give us the double points. Needless to say, PISSED. Had I been told different, I would not have paid for the "Junior Suite" upgrade.

I was curious about this actually. So, if you book under a Promo, in this case Double Points, then you upgrade, is RCCL obliged to transfer the Promo benefits?
     Thanks,

     🛳🛳
