  1. And another thing, why don't they give you subtitles for the message that they just got on their smartphone......what did it say ? Don't know, rewind it while I find my reading glasses.😡
  2. I too like the kids channels. CBBC. Wallace and Gromit are on Azura.🤣
  3. This one?Branches everywhere, except Broadway🤣
  4. We're they the Broadway Jersey Boys. Saw them in Jersey, or was that the west end boys. I was on a flight back the the UK from Italy. Business class as the EU were paying. Boney M were on the flight. I was quite impressed until I discovered that there were, at that time 13 different Boney M's.🤣
  5. Problems with the IT at work. You really are P&O...sue😁
  6. They should have put a note on the app.
  7. Same as us with staysure. They refunded the balance of the policy. We got single trip cover with goodtogo, but get annual again now.
  8. I don't object to formal nights, but often can't be bothered. On a cruise we will only eat in the MDR about half the time, so can easily plan to eat somewhere else on formal nights. If folk object to me walking through the ships common areas dressed smart casual that is their problem, not mine.
  9. Sometimes we dress up, sometimes we don't. If we don't, we accept that the MDR, Crows Nest and a couple of others are off limits. We will go to the beach house instead. We select the cruise mainly on itinerary date and price. Not always P&O.
  10. I thought on Britannia in October the MDR portions were a bit smaller, as were Celebrity and RC. I still put on half a stone. Limelight was better food. On Azura I thought the MDR meals were fine. Beach house was better. All in all, quite acceptable, bordering on good.
  11. Seems to be policy to make things difficult. My companies policy was...one point of contact.
  12. We go to a 4* UK hotel in May for a few days. We get £27 pppn dinner allowance. The menu isn't that special, a bit like the MDR menu, but £27 won't get you 2 courses. The hotel itself is nice, but the menu is a bit like P&O, RC ,or Celebrity. Not fine dining, but perfectly acceptable.
  13. They seem to have a complaint and liability mindset. The don't realise that some customers just want to discuss an issue........I wonder if you can help. I chose a cabin near the lift. You have moved me to one a long way away. Can I be moved to one nearer the lift please..........speak to customer services.
  14. They only give you one number to phone. They could give you the correct phone number for your query. Not too hard ,but making things easier for the customer isn't on their agenda.
  15. The thing that really hacks me off is ' you will need to speak to customer services ' NO. They should have the power to sort it, or they can speak to customer services '. Sorry Sir, I can't deal with your query, I will transfer you to customer services, or. I will speak to customer services and get somebody to phone you back..Here is their Direct line in case you need to speak to them........sorry mate, you will need to speak to customer services...no I can't tell you their direct number...join the queue again.😡
  16. Sounds a bit like mushroom management. Keep them in the dark and...............!. It's not actually a customer complaining is it ?. It's the folk who pay the wage bill trying to find out information...If you make things difficult, the may go away...Is that plan B ?. Plan A being ' Operational reasons '.
  17. We wouldn't be too bothered. By the time we turn in, it may be near to closing time
  18. We occasionally take a can of coke in our bag up to the pool. We buy one from the waiter. If he then goes missing for a while, we may use the can.Now taking a Watney's party seven is stretching things a bit.😂
  19. Is the price quoted per person per night, or per person per cruise ?. £70 for an upgrade to an SD balcony doesn't seen too bad if it's pp per cruise.
  20. In the Police detective programmes the police man asks the suspect, ' where were you Thursday before last!!!.
  21. 12.15am is quite early.😉
  22. DW likes the quizzes. We never win. I believe they give you a card and stamp it. If you win lots of times you can swap them for prizes, a bit like bingo in the old days before you could win all that cash that they offer now. When we go off on cruises nowadays, my Son says to DW ' is this one where Dad needs to take his bingo callers suit ?.🤣
  23. We are off to the Caribbean on Britannia in December. I forgot all about Bingo. Must add a good supply of those dabber pens that folk use. The only question is, can DW take them through airport security in hand luggage ?. If not we won't take the risk on putting them in the hold luggage. Perhaps there is a dabber pen shop in the terminal at Barbados .
  24. When we were on Iona we went to 710 a couple of times. I can't remember the music being jazz.
