  1. Funny old world. When I lived in London folk didn't spend every lunchtime and evening 7 days a week in the local pub. Apparently they do in East London, Manchester and the Yorkshire dales.
  2. I think one hour us about right. DW goes upstairs to watch it, which means I get to watch something. I prefer realistic, happy shows like the last of us.
  3. If you hate the entertainment, ships, food etc, I guess you were better off isolated from it all.🤣
  4. I have one criteria for the entertainers, did they entertain us ?....yes !...job done.😁
  5. Like the folk who post the picture of a cracked tile on their hotel review.
  6. Never did like Franki Vali, so glad I missed it.
  7. Very good. I ,of course meant the band called pulse, but had a giggle at your astutidness.🤣
  8. That's what we do. Take on a few small bottles/cans when we board and top up as necessary in the ports. We occasionally take a bottle, or 2 of wine at the ports. No problem getting them back on board....yet.
  9. Our Annual policy with All clear runs out in July. It's Europe + cruse. As we are going to the Caribbean later in the year we wondered if it would be better continuing with that and adding on the Caribbean as a one off. When I costed it out, an individual Caribbean cruise for the 2 weeks ended up only £100 less than an annual worldwide +Cruise. No contest really.
  10. We are in Malta for a couple of nights from the Tuesday with a board ing time of 11.00am. At least we shouldn't have a problem booking the shows and speciality restaurants.
  11. On Azura in February we were able to book before we went. We are on again in a couple of weeks, so far nothing.
  12. Look forward to this one . Your last was very informative.
  13. Book early and grab a bargain?. £10,000 for 12 nights.
  14. Is the food in the Crows Nest, or Andersons as good as the Keel&Cow. We found the food in there great. Queet refined enough for us don't you know.🤣
  15. Perhaps the 'own brew' is a type of beer. Some cruise lines, or hotels don't encourage that. Kettles are in P&O cabins, but they only like them to be used to make tea, coffee etc.
  16. Last year we sailed on Celebrity, RC and P&O. Food on Celebrity was better than P&O. The cruise for 7 nights was a fair bit more money than P&O. On RC the food and entertainment was a bit better as was the food, but the drinks prices were hideous. P&O was the cheapest, but was perfectly acceptable. We are on 3 P&O cruises this year, so ok in our opinion. We won't be booking any of them for 2024...yet. perhaps NCL will reduce their prices a bit as we do enjoy their ships.
  17. I costed that cruise at £4,500 in a standard cabin. A 14 night med cruise was about £7,500. Have a great cruise. We will slum it with P&O, or RC/X....twice.🤣
  18. And some have sailed on neither since before lockdown.
  19. I just had a look at some Saga offerings 2-3 times the price of P&O. I just wonder why this topic crops up so regularly onthe P&O boards, but nothing on Saga, oh ! Apparently from the soot reports.
  20. If you want to ask questions about Saga, ask them on P&O seems the answer. Interesting SoA blog on the Saga board, seems all is not all roses.
