  1. That's a fair question. No, no medical background, just notifications from the CDC about the change years ago. It was in the news then and I went to the CDC site and the WHO site for confirmation. https://www.cdc.gov/yellowfever/vaccine/index.html There are some exceptions. https://www.cdc.gov/yellowfever/vaccine/vaccine-recommendations.html#:~:text=For most people%2C a single, the vaccine is not needed.
  2. All previous and new YF vaccinations are good for your lifetime (for most folks), but you need your Yellow Card to prove younhad it. The serum has not changed.
  3. A single dose of Yellow Fever vaccine offers lifetime protection. This was a change made several years ago from the previous every 10-years recommendation. So it's now once and done...if had one any time in the past and you still have the yellow card, you're good to go. https://www.cdc.gov/yellowfever/vaccine/index.html
  4. We usually fit ours in the closet with no problem, also, but others seem to have a closet storage problem.
  5. If you have normal clam-shell suitcases, did you try to fit them under the bed when opened?
  6. Cabins in the front (bow) of the ship experience the most motion, followed by aft (stern) cabins. Midship cabins experience the least motion. Motion is most on higher decks. What is above or below a cabin determines the potential noise (See deck plans). Forward cabins may experience anchor noise. Aft cabins may experience engine vibration. Some cabins near the life boats may hear the boats being lowered for tendering in the early morning. Some folks like cabins near restaurants. Amazingly, cabins near elevators don't seem to present a problem.
  7. Only location. Check out the desk plans on O's site.
  8. Check for yourself. The ones with discounts are shown in red: https://brochures.oceaniacruises.com/view/392095637/32/
  9. Our primary care physician says he can (and will) give us each a script to fill before we leave on our next cruise.
  10. Hmmm...I have assumed per suite, but I haven't used it, so I really don't know. Perhaps another poster can tell us.
  11. This is from the Azamara web site under faqs: How does the Suite and Loyalty benefit combinability work? When you stay in Veranda Plus or Suite categories, you have the option to combine both Internet and laundry benefits with those that the Veranda Plus and Suite categories offer, depending on your loyalty tier. For example, if an Explorer member that earns 60 minutes or 35% savings towards the Full Voyage Unlimited Package stays in a Veranda Plus category that offers 120 free Internet minutes or 25% savings towards the Full Voyage Unlimited Package, they can combine either the free Internet minutes or package redemption, to make a total of either 180 free minutes or 60% savings towards a Full Voyage Unlimited Package. Laundry: If a member is at an Explorer tier or higher, and booked in a Veranda Plus or higher, they can combine the laundry benefits to receive two bags of laundry bags, per seven days.
  12. It's what comes just before cenile (alternate spelling).
  13. Have you posted on the Roll Call for your specific cruise? There you will find others on the same cruise and you are more likely to get more relevant responses than on this general Oceania forum.
  14. That's for large-size cruise ships. O is #1 for medium-size cruiseships. HAL is #2, Disney is #3.
  15. They are in the survey, under small cruise ships...or least they should be, and didn't make the grade. But I still like them...and I do bathe, but in a PH 😁.
  16. Yes. 😉 The R-ships are smaller than Viking Ocean's in size and pax number, the small ship winner. The O-ship are closer in pax number to the smaller HAL ships, number 2 in mid-size. So 690 vs 1250.
  17. But, O's #1 in Best Cabins is for mid-size cruise lines, i.e. O-class ships, not R-class ships.
  18. O has been using the term "promotional fare" for SimplyMore fares for all its cruises, so the term alone does do not necessarily imply it's already baked.
  19. Both, My point, exactly. It can be one or the other, or both at the same time. Folks need to distinguish between them and blame the right person/entity for the person. Not just the cruise line, as is often done here on CC.
  20. @MoxieMomm At the bottom of the Roll Call page is a button called "Follow." If you click on it, it takes you to a window to select how often you wan to be notified, and you can click on "Follow" button on the bottom of this window to activate it.
  21. Yes, "Join" is a bit of a misnomer, as you simply find it, then click on it to read or post. You can "Follow" it, so you are notified when new posts are added.
