Usually, if a ship is being repositioned to a new home port, RCI makes the decision at least a year out. The problem comes when you have to book a new ship that has already started booking. Great cabins are gone!
There is no way to tell. We have been refused more than accommodated, on many ships. But we have also got BOGO later in the week just by asking. Depends on if they need to fill seats.
There is lots of overlap in coverage. Allianz has trip protection that GeoBlue does not. Geoblues' medical and evacuation is far superior. The problem with Geoblue maybe you need to have another state-side medical policy.
I haven't really tried too hard to find it, but I would prefer an Allianz trip protection policy only.
Allianz does, with lots of before/after restrictions. We have one. My wife had bronchitis and could not go. They paid us $4,000 with very little hassle. It's NOT cancel for any reason.
