  1. We plan to be on the Fascination the end of March next year. If you have been on the Fascination within the past year, do you know if they have a "live" band. I used to play in different bands down through the years, and have always loved band, or LIVE music. If you know that there is, where or what area will we find them playing?

You are most likely to find the live band playing at the casino bar.

  2. On our Fascination cruise last February when we checked in the customer service rep told us that our rooms would be ready at 1:30. I told her that we were priority and that our rooms were to be ready when we boarded. She then said she had worked at that desk for 16 years and no rooms were ever ready before 1:30. I politely thanked her, boarded and we went to our rooms, which were ready. 16 years of misinformation?

Not 16 years, no rooms were available before 1:30 until FTTF was introduced, which was 5-6 years ago.

  3. FYI I am not nor have I ever been a pool chair hog. I just wanted to select a table before getting my food which we have always done. It is pain to take turns getting our food. I just wanted the least offensive way of holding a table. We eat and then leave. Our next cruise we are thinking of just eating in the Lido for dinner. I thought we would be getting up more for the many dinner courses -

There would be no need to do this at dinner. There are far more empty tables than occupied tables.

  4. A couple questions about FTTF that I can't find an answer to.

    1. Is the priority tender only going off the ship? For example, at HMC, is there a priority tender line to get back to the ship?

    2. If I purchase and then change my mind before I cruise, is FTTF refundable?

    Thank you.

Priority tender is only leaving the ship.

  5. Yes, they are both older ships, but some people prefer the smaller ships. Elation and Fascination are a lot alike-- size, cabins, etc... Both have the upgrades now, so you will have the Red Frog Pub, Guys, Blue Iguana and Alchemy. We cruise for the itinerary, so we aren't so picky about the ship. Attitude is everything.

Both ships have the Red Frog Rum Bar, but no Red Frog Pub. We have sailed on both ships, we think the atrium on Elation is prettier.

  6. Does that mean I am the last of the self assist? But at least before all those that checked their luggage outside their room the night before we disembark?

We have disembarked as platinum after checking our luggage and merged into line with passengers who were doing self assist. I believe those who checked luggage are allowed to disembark as soon as the luggage is ready, rather than having to wait for all self assist to disembark.

  7. When we go with FTTF we're there when the doors open. I paid for that first day on the ship and FTTF perk then I want on it as soon as possible. Most places the doors open at 9:30-10:00 am and usually boarding starts for priority boarding (Diamond, Platinum and FTTF) around 11:00 am.

Why do you choose to sit in the terminal an hour or more?
